Linus (NCIX TechTips) just released a video about this card. Might be interesting to watch. Also, he mention's this forum wich is: :twothumb The highlighting of WSGF is great, but that card just has too many issues. 50Hz? What is this? 2006 with the Matrox TripleHead2Go? 1.25GB VRAM? At least he me...

How much system RAM have you got, Haldi?

Also, how'd you monitor VRAM usage above real VRAM?

Don't think I've seen any retired Police on the forum before; hope you find the answers you seek.

Strongly depends on how sensitive you are to ghosting. I don't notice any. 120Hz monitors seem to be a bit of a gimmick really.

I'd just worry about the GPU for now. Or the monitors as well - monitors outlast every other bit of my system several times over, they're easily the part I'm least likely to penny-pinch on, closely followed by PSU and keyboard/mouse.

Wait for Ivy Bridge, or possibly Piledriver.

I agree. I would never knowingly buy a TN panel; the response time values that the manufacturers quote are often wishful thinking, and if they are accurate, they're usually achieved by pixel overdrive or other brute force methods which can result in negative ghosting and similar nasty surprises if t...

Your observations about different games loading differently are spot on - for a while I was helping out a friend in a Folding competition (or rather, I was helping his team) and I could get GTX460s folding stably at 925MHz @ 1.025 Vcore... I couldn't get games stable on that Vcore any higher than 81...

It's curious that Rockstar say they're going to harvest the details you input, regardless of whether or not you put details in allowing you to download the game.

Although having said that, who, in their right mind, is going to try downloading an 18 rated game and say they're... 12, or whatever?

Perhaps the huge 'balancing' patch coming 'soon' will have some other tweaks in it too? That said, DICE don't exactly have a stellar reputation for supporting widescreen or triplewide. ;)

I've heard whisperings that Kepler will support Surround off a single card, but can't verify the accuracy of the source, so... read what you will into it.

Core 1 and 2 are at 99% and 3 and 4 are at 90. Using a Core 2 Quad 9650. I guess it is now getting aged. :( In Surround, it should be GPU limited, just from the extra pixels you're asking it to push. The fact that you're seeing CPU load like that would indicate that your issue is a CPU bottleneck. ...

You have 99% GPU load? On each GPU? Try putting all settings on Minimum. How much FPS do you get and how much GPU load ? P.S Video recording only uses CPU power, (depending on programm) so if i try to record videos with my C2D E8400 @4ghz Frames also drop below 10fps. Gonna try it out with my new i...

I'm not sure what else to suggest - it's known (and accepted) that Surround places loads on the system that 'normal' gaming does not - even 2560x1600 doesn't place the strain of a triple-wide setup on the CPU/GPU. I tried recording a Surround video with FRAPS once, got single-digit FPS, and never tr...

Personally, I'm rather disappointed to see that Codemasters are effectively going to win two awards. After their behaviour and attitude with F1 2010 and F1 2011, I've decided that I'll vote with my wallet. ;) I won't support a dev/pub who ships something broken by design, refuses to fix it saying it...

Try running MSI Afterburner (or EVGA Precision if it offers the feature) with VRAM monitoring enabled to check what sort of VRAM usage you're seeing. Different engines handle large resolution increases differently - some barely blink (Source) others take framerate hits far in excess of what you'd ex...

Makes me think that I'll have to buy Hazro, who use 10-bit panels are are proud of it, if I want to guarantee it.

I'd pick up Civ 4 or Civ 5 for a strategy game - not been impressed with any RTS I've played on the PC for a while.

I'd also buy Terraria, simple graphics, simple gameplay - fiendishly difficult when it wants to be.

Anyone know if this game works correctly now in eyefinity/surround? It's on sale $10 at Steam. HUD is still at the extremities of the Surround/EyeFinity group, so lots of head backwards and forwards with the way the game is designed. It's well worth buying - it's just not worth playing in triplewide.
