Yeah, that sucks a lot. Eyefinity is still buggy as hell. I wonder does nVidia is also so buggy? Yes. Arguably, nVidia Surround is worse than AMD EyeFinity. No hotkey switching support is my biggest complaint at the minute, and has been since it launched. That said, AMD seem to have slowed their ef...

If I remember correctly, the only reason this works is because AMD finally decided to allow access to VRAM information in the driver. nVidia have done so for years, but AMD (until now) have kept a tight leash on information that monitoring programs can gather. Regardless, it's nice to have the featu...

Even basing buying off the beta is probably a bad idea. Beta drivers are flying ATM, and combine beta drivers with beta game and... well, it's really not pretty.

Wouldn't be unheard of for it to be the CPU. The Sandy Bridge chips have so much on them beyond what it traditionally understood to be a 'CPU' that any one bit of it going wobbly will take the CPU as a whole down with it. It's unusual, but not impossible. I'd get the PSU checked out (PSU testers are...

The whole idea of the EULA making you waive your rights is moot at best. In many States/Countries an EULA (particularly one which attempts to waive major things like that) would not be enforceable anyway. It all depends how antagonistic the judge is to Defendant or Plaintiff whether he will rule it ...

Although technically doesn't say that they need to be indentical monitors... Maybe if they still have matching resolutions refresh and such it can be made to work I guess. I've got Surround working on non-identical monitors (two Dell 2405FPWs and one U2410) so I know it works, but I got lucky - the...

I think, i should dig this thread up.
When I enable Eyefinity with more then two displays, aero peek is gone. The rest of Aero (glass and the other stuff) is on, only the taskbar preview pictures are gone.

Help appreciated!
regards Einhard

Same issue happens with nVidia Surround.

I'm eyeing the 2.5GB 570s myself. I'd definitely go with them over the 1.25GB ones, it's worth the extra $100/card IMO. Check out my 1GB vs. 2GB comparison for some examples of what games eat VRAM for breakfast.

Games will lose anything from 33% to 75% of their single-monitor fps when using EyeFinity/Surround. You've gone from 2.3 million pixels (approx) to 7 million (approx) and that takes a lot of GPU power to do.

I'm one of the (lucky? jammy?) few who hasn't seen dye separating out of pre-mixed coolant. Yet. I'm sure it'll happen eventually, but for now it's so much easier to use pre-mixed stuff, especially since proper distilled water in the UK is quite expensive and/or hard to find. It's all either deionis...

Only negative of the U2311H is that Dell pulled a fast one and they're not 8-bit IPS, they're 6-bit with dithering.

Which explains why I think the colours on my U2311H suck compared to my 2405s and U2410.

If you run out of VRAM, you'll see framerates nosedive as the cards first start swapping to system RAM (this will knock anything from 33-66% off the framerate, then to the pagefile on the HDD, which will usually make framerates tank into the sub-5fps region. However, some games are a lot less vulner...

It's not just Verizon. Site as a whole is very sluggish since the move; I've been all over the site in an attempt to persuade FF to cache everything, but it's made no difference - especially since the stuff that is worst are things like the drop-down menus when filling in Detailed Reports, and post ...

2GB GTX560Ti's is the cheaper alternative to 3GB GTX580s. For Surround, the more VRAM you can give, the better.

Thanks for the notification; we are aware of the issue, and are working to find what caused it (or the experts are!) but it appears to be linked to an issue we had with an earlier sending of the same newsletter, which a lot of people didn't get.
