I just swapped my U2410 to DisPort for the purposes of testing; on a single monitor with Vsync disabled, I see tearing if the framerates gets too high. In Surround, I didn't, but that was by no means a fully scientific test as in Surround framerates are significantly lower.

Received my 680 on Tuesday- been running it through tests and games since. Upgraded from an old 295 which was coupled with a Matrox TH2G. Far as performance the thing is a beast- it's enough to run Skyrim (with a plethora of graphic mods including the texture pack) on ultra and doesn't break a swea...

That is unfortunate. The whole idea behind 2x1 and single GPU spanning is to set the bar low as possible for entry into surround-gaming club. I suppose only time will tell if they make this port standard across all 600-series cards. It's one step closer to lowering the bar all the way so anyone can...

Guys, tell me, please.Which of the technologies it supports more games - Eyefinity or Nvidia Surround? They're about equal. So basically it is safe to game with it...No problems and no cards going out in flames?:)) That is good to know;)) It's the coolest and quietest running nVidia card I've seen in some time. Idles ~30*C, loads at max (so far, in Saints Row 3 and Shogun 2) at 64*C. This is running on the same custom f...

[quote][quote]works a treat, centre only task bar, windows open to single displays etc. I've not tested games, stability etc yet. Anyone tested the driver in actual games? to see how it behaves?:) Can it do 2x1 and 4x1? No, the new driver can't do 2x1, and from that I extrapolate that it can't do 4...

I agree. While seeing 'confirmation' from MSI on single card Surround is nice, there is still far too little information around about other options. Personally, I'm not holding my breath, but it would be excellent to see nVidia take it seriously with their new cards. Shouldn't be long to wait now. A...

There isn't really a 'best' I think, unless you've got monitors which allow native connections... but 1x HDMI, 1x DVI and 1x mini-DisPort-to-DVI adaptor should do it.

Microstutter happens just as much with SLI, it's just that people seem to make much less fuss about it on the nVidia side. It's weird that it doesn't seem to happen for me in Surround (or if it does I don't notice it) but does in SLI on a single monitor. edit: I'd just get a single 7950 or similar.

The ONLY thing the Baldurs Gate games need in terms of modernising is increased resolution support.

Which Gibberlings 3 does already.

Try 285.79, everything since had caused me headaches in Surround - not sure why, as when it works it works flawlessly. I've reached the point where I don't update my nVidia drivers unless I'm desperate for a fix for a game. Otherwise I just leave them and be happy in the knowledge they're working...

Sadly, I could see this coming a mile off. :( Mass Effect I actually enjoyed - like Crysis 2 and to a greater or lesser extent Red Faction: Armageddon and (gasp) Homefront - because I went in with no real expectations. I was hyped before release, found out that it was going to have nasty DRM and did...

I want to get as excited by the possibilities that Roccat's ideas present as you, Ibrin, but I can't help feeling that it's a gimmick that won't go far... much like the Razer Blade. It doesn't help that so far these sorts of things seem to be marketed as the 'saviour of dying PC gaming' - when PC ga...

Aye, Bioware should have been ashamed of themselves with Dragon Age and its DLC. Bethesda, true, have appeared to redeem their earlier errors with DLC. Saints Row 3... I've genuinely enjoyed that game. It doesn't feel like they pulled stuff out to make the DLC; in all honesty, I'm at a loss as to wh...
