[quote]Looks identical to me... I'm in a huff now. I admit that DX10 and DX9 version look basically identical. The only noticeable difference that I saw was in the shadows. DX10 shadows are smoother and less jaggy. [...] Other things that I thought would be improved, like the water effects, look ex...

Don't thank me yet. I have yet to take a screenshot that shows ANY difference. Even with the water on the lens effect.

I just wanted to add my thanks to Paddy the Whack and Racer_S for their great job and support. I'm running it on Vista 32 and I LOVE the FOV mode in DX9 mode and the Racer_S's fix. Problem is that it is VERY unstable. Not faulting anyone for the crashes, but I will be anxiously awaiting a version o...

After a bit of tinkering, I got this to work. Try this - Edit GAME.INI and make the following configuration changes - ModeWidth=1280 ModeHeight=768 Windowed mode=1 Launch the application and hit Alt-Enter once you're actually in-game. Full-screen 1280 * 768 with no stretch! does it work for you ?

I got it to work with your instructions. I just can't run it in 1200x768 (which is what I was trying to do). I can only run it at 1680x1050.

i guess it's 1280x768, but can you get this res under windows ?

i think it's because of standard format, like 1024x768, for software, drivers etc... 720 and 800 didn't exist yet

What makes an acceptable widescreen solution ?

A game that give you the true FOV of the human sight, like it should be in a 16/9 ratio. that's my opinion.
