Here's the word from the horse's mouth: the D3DWindower is simply just a larger window; it doesn't support any different or larger resolutions. Well, I have to admit, when I first tried this according to the steps on the web site, I thought it just didn't work. But then I figured, it was just due to my using it on Vista x64 so I went upstairs to put the little ones to bed. To my pleasant surprise, when I returned, my screen had several 1024...

We got this game for a co-worker who had never played it before (would you believe it?), and have been playing it for the last few weeks or so. I can verify that it does indeed work with Vista x64. Wow, my prayers have finally been answered! After basically abandoning BF2/2142 for games that supported widescreen natively (read: Source-engine, TF2 most recently) and getting the end of year newsletter from WSGF, I have discovered my formerly favorite FPS games are now fully supported thanks to D...

Bad news for the Special Forces (SF) expansion, not only does it still not work correctly with WS resolutions, when joining an online game server, the game will exit and re-open itself and force a 4:3 resolution. I started my initial app using the command-line hack and was viewing the menu in my pri...

It's a shame that Starcraft never supported beyond 800x600 resolution. Boy, wouldn't it be cool at 16x12 or 19x12 for those 256x256 maps.
