I did the exact thing, changed the in game to 800x600, and found 4 strings... Once I get back in the game, 800x600 is gone and 1680x1050 isn't on the resolution list. Any suggestions?


Same thing happened to me. Also tried with the 640x480 string but then that resolution wasn't availible anymore.

First I tried 1680x1050 (Which was dumb, the parameters in the ini max at 1600) and then I proceded to try the rest of the lower 16:10 Resolutions to no effect other than frustration.. I have a 2005fpw as well and can’t get Madden 06 to do 1680x1050 native. It offers 1600x900 and then stretches but not 1680x1050, would love to know how to get it to work. Just picked up NHL 06 today and 1280x1024 is the best I get in the settings. With Madden I edited the madden.ini and adde...

I have the Dell 20.1 widescreen display as well. If you don’t have the resolution you want in settings/display properties you have to add it in under the geforce tab Screen resolutions and refresh rates / add I setup up a resolution of 1400x1050 so it uses the full vertical with a 4:3 format....
