The hud scales properly and doesn't stretch. However your view is a mix of Hor + and Vert -

It's a moot point however, you can zoom in and out with the mouse wheel so it doesn't really matter one way or the other.

I was having this same problem.

I solved it by making a copy of my shortcut to regular BF2. Then I added +modPath mods/xpack +ignoreAsserts 1 to the end after the lines for my custom resolution. It loads the custom res now instead of just crashing to desktop.

I imagine they'll get the FOV right. It's being co-developed for the Xbox 360 and that requires widescreen.

Dice could also just easily allow letterboxed widescreen resolutions for people who 4:3 displays.

I just checked. You can now see as much of your weapon as with a 4:3 resolution, but otherwise you get a cropped view of everything else. So improvement.

I didn't test anything either, but I could have sworn I saw more of my medic's arm playing at 1280x768 as well.

I saw these two lines at the bottom of the config:

[code]pvmodelaspect 1.2
pvmodelfov 65

I'm going to try and change the fov line and see if it does anything.

For 1280x768 fov should be 81.25 but I'll just try 81

So is there a solution or not? I'd like to reinstall the game but if I can be saved the trouble of discovering if there is WS or not by someone else that would be helpful.
