| No widescreen for nhl 2007! I can't believe it. Looks like it's going back to ea! That is the last ea sports game I ever "buy". PC isn't even "next gen" whatever that is. Pretty sure you will have to use SLI to get a descent frame rate out of it. Just check out Paddy's review on the left taskbar.
That will give you a good idea on what to expect. |

Also like to point out that you bought widescreen monitors. At the time they are not supported and your images will looked stretched.
In the future, they are likely to support widescreen though. |

| Quick answer, NO You will not be able to run that kind of resolution (max) with your video card. It will run like a slideshow. You can however, run non-native resolutions... i think somwhere like 1900x400. I would look too horrible, but it will look a lot worse than full resolution. |

Yes, that is was I'm hoping for.. Widescreen in middle with 2 monitors on the side... but what size monitor would fit on the side of a 20.1 inch widescreen? 17"?
Would it match perfectly? I doubt it hey? |

| Going to answer my some of my own questions after doing more research: 1. DVI is coming. Matrox started with analog because it is more widely available, but DVI version will be released.... Nhl 06 is not supported for widescreen resolutions and nobody has found a hack for it as of yet.

| The people who are good at making games work in widescreen obviously don't play nhl 2006, therefore I hope nobody is offended or I hope this is not against forum policy to offer some cash towards somebody who is able to hack nhl 2006 to work in widescreen mode. 50 bucks? I'm assuming the problem you are having with the text is an inherent problem with all crt tvs that upscale to 1080i Text on my tv is unreadable as well on the desktop because from what I understand my tv does not truly support 720p or 1080p. Ya, there's got to be a way. I bought 2 wireless controllers for this game but havn't played it due to no widescreen resolutions.
It is pathetic how ea is so ignorant to this. |
