BG2 had a fullscreen mode. You press 'H' and the interface disappears. |

Shenmue is a pretty notable game, and bringing it to PC is really the best way they could give it posterity. |

It's somewhat ironic that Bethesda gets DLC relatively right. Because I blame Horse Armor for setting the precedent of DLC that gets it wrong, and enabling other companies to get it even more wrong. |

it's difficult to deny the window into what futuristic graphics will hold that was given to us by Myst. I'd say that Prince of Persia provided a window into the future as well, albeit in a subtler way. At the time, action games did not have realistic animation, or even detailed animation for the mos... |

Right now, as it stands, if a game has "DLC", it only tells me that the game was never finished in the first place, in that the game was released "incomplete." My feelings as well. This is exacerbated by frequent re-releases dubbed "Complete Edition" that have all the DLC included, logically implyin... |

GPU scaling with an nVidia card is as good as it's going to get, really. The quality of monitor scaling depends on the monitor, but no matter how good your monitor is at scaling, you're better off with GPU scaling. The performance requirement for GPU scaling is negligible. I would be surprised if yo... |

That don't change the FOV because the background is a static image but al least make the player no horizontal stretch.
Does that mean the background stretches? And if that's the case, wouldn't that mean 3D models become misaligned with the background as they move from the center? |

And a good night's rest made me realize a dumb math error that caused the zoom to be vert -. Fixed it, uploaded new version. Also I realized that the HUD text's slanting is exaggerated as you increase the aspect ratio. I have no idea why, but I'm betting it's related to the misalignment that occurs ... |

I just addressed the zooming issue and uploaded a new version. Basically, the issue was that each weapon has a "zoom FOV" value built into it, but these values are meant to correspond to the xFOV of a 4:3 FOV, and my code was applying this value to the yFOV. So while the old behavior shrank xFOV fro... |

Here's the new link, hosted on WSGF Media. (link removed) As for source, I'm waiting for iodoom3 to come out with a release. I'm planning on merging my fixes into theirs. The GPL'd code is kind of a mess in places, and I cleaned parts of it up in my own way, but I'm betting the ioquake3 guys will do... |

I ask because the 1.3.1 update broke the gtx graphics mod that worked fine with 1.3 1.3.1. My mistake. what should be the difference, at multi-monitor resolutions, between this solution and the old one thats included in the DR - http://widescreengamingforum.com/dr/doom-3 ? The old solution doesn't d... |

Doom 3 went open source awhile back, and I've been working on adding proper aspect ratio support. I think it's looking pretty good now, so here it is: How to use: Two things to keep in mind, that might prevent some confusion. 1: This is not a "fix" per se, but rather a new version of the g... |

I don't quite follow what the complaint about Facebook is. Couldn't you just not link your profile to Facebook? That's what I did. Or is there some incentive for linking that I don't know about?
TF2 achievements for making Youtube videos pissed me off more. |

I don't disagree, it's just really not a big deal at all. You gain items fast enough freely anyway. Not fast enough for me. I still don't have my Sydney Sleeper or any of the Shogun items, let alone the 20+ Uber Update items. Meanwhile, enemy soldiers are wasting my scouts better than I can waste th... |

Sure there are weapons that are better, but at the end of the day it's all about the trade offs. You're missing my bigger point. Being able to pick and choose the trade-offs at will is ALWAYS better. At the end of the day, you are at a disadvantage compared to people who bought weapons. Just because... |

Having the weapons available is a gameplay advantage, however. Even the most situational weapon is an advantage to have, because if the situation where it is useful happens, you can use it. And some of them are easily upgrades under common circumstances, like the Liberty Launcher, which *every* sold... |
