Interesting topic. Games have never made me sick nor has motion in general. I'm curious: do those that feel a little off because of games also suffer from motion sickness?

Well, i believe they are open topped. But still, i wouldn't like all the bugs in my mouth and eyes. You must be very tall then. I'm 6'3" and only from my eyebrows and up would be exposed over the windshield. :P Can't EA get in some kind of trouble for giving buyers false impressions? There ar...

There hasn't been a good NFS game since Hot Pursuit 2 imho. The craptacular FWD cars found in undergound do nothing for me. If you are looking for a wacky style driving game, Trackmania Sunrise is worth taking a look it. It's just a fun game to play although it does have starforce so you may have is...

BTW, Gabbo, I didn't think it was possible to run both HDR and AA on the PC... is there a hack that allowed you to do this?

ATI has released the "Chuck" patch that allows HDR and AA at the same time on X1000 series cards.

For those that cannot play without AA, it is possible to tweak the Bloom settings in the .ini file so that it looks nearly ientical to HDR. Nice captures btw.

I have only seen player screenshots of the games and it looks good from what I can tell. I have the collector's edition sitting on my desk right now but won't have a computer capable of playing it for a few months lol. I figured I'd get started with modding first so I can contribute to the community...

[quote]They should have postponed the game and worked on performance issues. Hopefully they will continue tweaking and release a patch. They already did. It was supposed to come out in novermber and they did that and they decreased load times by like 300% amongst other things. No. They postposed th...

Graphics look like they're still being optimized. The rig they set me up on was a powerhouse--a Dell 3.4GHz packed with an ATI X1900 512MB card. The video settings were set at a modest 1280x768 and anti-aliasing was turned off. There were some occasional stutters, and I could (albeit on rare occasi...

From what I understand they are not doing much more optimizations on the game. It runs well on the 360 naturally, but many previews from the other nights large update state that the PC version looks and plays better/smoother. And btw, TES will NEVER be a MMORPG. TES has always been and will always b...

Yea, there is some new information out be what we get now is lots of hands on impressions. The devs still have some tweaking to do because as it stands, even on a P4 3.4GHz with an X1900XT there is still some stuttering at 1280 x 768 with AA turned off. Another figure I've seen was 20 fps on a 6600G...

Good news but old news.

What I'm really anxious to see is the performance of the game. For this game I don't mind so much about super high frame rates but I want 30 fps as the absolute minimum with HDR and ansio turned on at at least 1280 X 720 (and 1280 X 1024) resolutions.

Hello. I'm new here so give me a chance. :) PCMusicGuy worte: They have removed the original shadow system as shown in the first E3 video and replaced it with a lesser system because there is no way current hardware could run without any slowdowns. I've seen this rumor before at another site. VE I ...

The reason Morrowind "pushed limits" is that it was poorly scripted. Even playing on a modern day computer it can still lag in certain areas. As it stands the game is highly CPU bound. It may have had to do a lot with the NetImmerse engine that was used. For Oblivion, I seriously doubt they will be ...

There will be no option to turn it on (not in the menu or in the .ini file). The entire shadow system as seen in the first E3 video has been completely removed from the game in both the XBox 360 and PC versions. Don't even get me started on the water. :(

The game still looks hella sweet. The shadow system on the ribcages and stuff are still there, and all that stuff, right? Unfortunately, the shadow system used to make that ribcage cast those sweet shadows is gone. From my understanding no objects except for the player character and tress will cast...

I am also eagerly awaiting this game. They have removed the original shadow system as shown in the first E3 video and replaced it with a lesser system because there is no way current hardware could run without any slowdowns. It's kind of disappointing but I'm sure it's for the best. And a note on WS...

3. FarCry
4. Diablo
5. Lands of Lore II: Guardians of Destiny

Sadly, not all support WS.

How do you know ? It was stated by one of the devs in one of the forum topics on the Elderscrolls website a while back. I wouldn't hold your breath for a March release - it was supposed to be out in early November, and slowly got pushed back. I can see it getting set back again if they're not caref...
