I didn't play the first, what looked like consoly gameplay and the reports of quirky controls kept me away. But I'm enjoying Mass Effect 2. I would prefer a KoTOR style gameplay and the Mass Effect line of games is clearly sprung from a desire to keep doing that kind of game outside the StarWars fra...

I can't make out the character portrait health-bar half of the time, certainly not while fighting. The overlay when pressing Tab is clear, but sometimes the game decides that my main character shouldn't get a bar there at all. I've had some problems with the difficulty scaling. Don't want to run at ...

Here's a quirk. The Steam client accesses all harddrives in a system when it starts up, and sometimes on updates as well. This will mainly be the game for me and my LAN buddies so it's not a big problem.

You know, with that much arm action going on it almost looks like it's actually 3D. They could market it as 3D 2.0.

This worked last I played Oblivion. Don't edit the .INI, but make it write protected. Start the game, bring up the console and enter the following long line: SetINI "fDefaultFOV:Display" 90 The game tries to write that to the .INI file, fails but keeps the setting in the running game so that it work...

Another case of what can happen when you primarily develop for consoles..., sigh. O wait, maybe if I put my monitor two feet further back it will feel better! Yay!
I'll just have a look at that donation thing.

Well done! Now I can maybe count on enjoying the full game too.
Using 0.8 0.8 with latest nVidia driver on Vista32 and a 1440x900 monitor.
