I'm with maharie, shift sucks. I snagged Undercover and it reminds me more of the Most Wanted area. Lets just be honest. GRID came, they saw, they conquered and NFS is just the lame big name. |

something. MY goodness DVD-R is the only super cheap format still, I was hoping Bluray burners would slowly get here but they are taking forever to become reasonable. |

my take on this is...well, we've seen this before. ATI has just launched to 9800pro. The 4870 was the 9600pro. Now NVIDIA is claiming that the 5950U will kill it. Any one of us knows that when NVIDIA is behind, they are not in their A game. The 8000 series was fantastic...why? the 7000 series was in... |

easiest way is a NAS box. Its a simple box that hooks up to your network. Very easy to setup. |

MDF is pretty smooth so no real sanding needed. I'd do what Malerie suggested. BUT I'd probably sand it between the layers. 5-7 layers of paint with a 300+ grit (if you really want do 1000grit) will make it so there is no weird bumps in the finish. Poly would be good.... OR, if you want to be epic. ... |

[quote]50dB seems like quite a bit compared to the 20 from the Noctua. I would really like something quiet for a change, not something that goes full blow 3 seconds after I push the switch. Yep, that's what my current one's doing right now, just for Opera. Maybe I got a setting wrong, but I can't q... |

[quote]I'd love to play GTA 4 at 5040x1050 with all the options on, or maybe just like medium settings. But that might still be unrealistic expectation. Why ? I play it all maxed at 5040x1050, including visible distance at 100, you dont need a "next gen" GPU for this.Any console port you really don... |

Wow people cry more. DisplayPort is the next generation of display cables, like VGA -> DVI -> DisplayPort. It has a higher bandwidth too supporting bigger resolutions on a single monitor. HDMI is just a variant of DVI with audio. If you can afford to buy an expensive $400 card you can afford to buy... |

I really did want to go for one of these cards soon, but considering I need a new desk, monitors, and the new card that wont really give me much boost in performance I will sit back for awhile and see what happens. [H] said that a 6 connection D-Port card was due out in the next two months. Might a... |

I consider myself a serious gamer. Not because of time committed, but rather the quality of which I play. I also consider myself an "old-school" gamer. Where people used to respect each other. One rule that I game by and it bugs the shit out of me that no one now days seems to respect: If two people... |

yep. TN's do this. But to help it...make sure you adjust your monitor. My NEC has a sharpness setting...I keep it around 22% otherwise its impossible to see. |

okay: I mean no offense. BUT--in this day in age you are not going to notice. I game on a 8ms AS-IPS panel. To my knowledge as a fast paced gamer...no lag...zero. So, I'd opt for a PVA panel with better color than try to find a "fastest" cheap TN. My 2 cents. But--I've heard good things about the Sa... |

I used a cheap (I mean cheap $20) SATA PCI card for my NF2 days. (despite its -S part I had 4 SATA drives). My take...if its for storage or light usage...like music etc...you'll be fine. really. sure transfering things to it will take longer, but its way cheaper than dropping more money on a sata ca... |

well, if its not good for color accuracy, I wish they'd market it as a different screen. Its what IPS was known for. TN panels are terrible. the screen on my NEC was the closest to a CRT for me. |
