I went from a 7900GS (it died...sent it in on warrenty) and got a 8800GTX 320MB...the difference...is HUGE. The 260 will probably give you a termindous increase and you would be very pleased for the price. |

HDMI to DVI adapters exist. They are not expensive either. Your oging to have a hard time finding that size with that res without HDMI. |

to be really funny.... can you select a widescreen resolution and then use the monitor picture adjust options in the menu on the screen, and reduce the height of the screen until you get proper aspect ratio? :P Its funny because thats what I was about to recommend. |

Windows gaming is dead. I stated this a few months ago. Consoles now rule the world. Remarkable games like Crysis will just stop being put into production. More and more companies have been losing their shirts to pc-gaming pirates. That and I have a hard time disagreeing from a business standpoint. ... |

For games you might be better off doing the 1680x1050. But for desktop if its soft2GO, then you could set it up with 1080p. To my knowledge at least. |

I think its lame. And all people will do is find ways around it.
No matter what they do to prevent piracy...it will be undone. |

New one on way. So it just goes to show, if you compain and rant, you win. Dell does that. They've been pretty good to their customer base...of course in this day and age...you have to be. |

I have the NEC20WMGX2. And it does the same thing. You can RMA the monitor, or just ignore it. I recommend RMA. But you can do somethings to make it less noticeable, like lower your brightness. Other than that, I've had the same issues. I have my screen saver kick in after 2 minutes to avoid more of... |

its time to go optical. Anything really works. X-Fi would be the best choice since you want to game, just avoid the budget cards and your fine. M-Audio makes great audiophile ones. Just depends on your poison. if you have a pci-e slot available I'd head this way. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc... |
