Wow, good job Ubisoft! NOT!
I got the patch, ran it and went into the Options and the highest resolution available for me is 1152 x 864. So I did a clean install and ran the patch again, same thing. WTH?

Apparently version 3.0 of America's Army will have native widescreen support:

To bad it's not gonna be out until fall '08. Which, knowing AA's schedule will be more like winter or spring '09. |

I was able to play BF2 on my WS with a 6600GT, Athlon XP 2400+ & 768MB RAM and got decent FPS, so yours should do fine. |

I guess it's just not the right mod for me. Having the speed jump to more than double normal just by using the rudder to turn seems a bit screwy to me. |

Tried it out last night. Looks good, but I have a problem. When ever I'm flying a helicopter and start making a turn it'll speed up waaay faster than a heli should be able to go, like jet with afterburner fast. This always results in me crashing, unless I'm at high enough altitude to have tim... |

I just picked up 4 of these at my local K-Mart for $1.50 each, on clearance:
Allsop Charcoal Metal Art
I've noticed a difference over cloth pads, movements feel much smoother. |

Where did you find that and how much?
Sounds like a great buy.

Once you add the switch to your BF2 shortcut you don't need to change it in the in-game options. In fact, doing so negates the switch parameters. |

Got into Documents and Settings...My DocumentsLOTR and open the ROTK config file with Notepad. Look for the line "Width=" and enter "Width=1440" Below this I add "Height=900"(don't know if this has any effect) and save. |

The full version, like the demo, has no cut-scenes.
One note about the music. It cannot be turned off. If you listen closely you can hear coughs in the background. Listening to this in surround sound lends to the notion that you're deep inside a bunker watching the world being destroyed. |

List of widescreen resolutions that were not tested: 1440x900, 1920x1080, 1920x1200 I've got the full version and 1440 x 900 is supported. I would imagine the others would be as well. ==Multiplayer support== Multiplayer has not yet been tested! At the moment there is a problem withe the Metaservers... |

Much of a difference with DVI and VGA? Also, you dont have to have speakers on do you? Is it a sturdy monitor pretty high up from the desk etc..? I don't know the complete tech aspects of DVI vs analog, but dual input would be more flexible down the road. The VA1912wb does have speakers, located at... |

From what I see the Acer only has analog input, while the ViewSonic(which I own) has analog and DVI. That said, go with the ViewSonic. |
