Running SLI with SoftTH won't do anything, which sucks because you'll need the extra rendering power for most games. It's good to get a feel for triplehead with it before you buy though  |

Why don't you give SoftTH a try since you have everything to run it? You don't have to drop the resolution and you can make up for the gaps between the screens (maybe TH2go can do this too?)
Only problem I see is the resolution being so high that any recent games become unplayable... |

-vidmode never did anything in H2V from what I remember. That's a command for Halo PC/CE.
Also, 1280x800 is there on my laptop. It may have to do with the monitor .inf file? H2V is just a joke in the end, and I really wish it wasn't. :( |

Overclock that CPU and you'll see the frames go up. That's how it is for most games with high end GPUs. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets the same framerate as 1680x1050 at 5040x1050  |

There's a newer version of SoftTH now so start with that http://www.kegetys.net/forum
So are you just testing out SoftTH with two monitors until you get the 3rd? It's not really made for just two screens, but it will work and render the 3rd monitor even if you don't have one :? |

SoftTH should work fine with that monitor setup, but it doesn't work with SLI so that should be turned off. It's real picky about the config as well. |

For large resolutions, is it video ram that's the big one? (1gb vs 2gb vs. etc) or is it speed? Depends on the game really. I don't play WoW, but it doesn't look like it needs a lot of vram. The sheer image size will need a fast card though. If you were to try Crysis at full resolution... as many G... |

Yeah, a Sony GDM-W900. It sits turned off now because of the heat and power it takes. Got it used sometime in 2003 or 04 and it's still going strong. |

I've got a Cooler Master 690 and i've been happy with it. 120mm fans to the side and below the video cards if you're worried about SLI not getting enough air. |

In the shortcut target you need to add -vidmode 1920,1080,60 to force it to your resolution and refresh rate (assuming 60hz). |

And finally I bring up a new point:
Microsoft has stated that there will be no support in Windows 7 for SLI. When was this? I've only heard that Hybrid SLI was deemed "unstable"... |

Yeah, and its on one CRT. :(
I could try UT2004 tomorrow, but its a massive strain on the eyes doing anything at that resolution. |

Yeah. Halo PC with a FOV hack. The hack keeps the HUD from streching like it usually does. By default, the game's FOV is something pretty low... 75 maybe, and the wider you get, the more the top and bottom get cut off. |

I am thinking about having a five screen surround gaming setup. Do any games even have a hope of supporting it because from what I understand most games have an FOV of 90* per screen so five screens would put the FOV at over 360* could someone with a triple widescreen setup run a game like in 3200*... |
