For grading I considered the fixed camera tours in the crypts as cut-scenes. When you get to a spot the camera runs through a circuit to show you the path to take. You could argue that it is something else but these things are not really differentiated in the grading criteria. If people want to dis... |

Yeah, nVidia scaling with fixed aspect ratio hasn't worked for me in a long while actually. nVidia drivers have been crap for months. |

Might get it. It looks like it could be great... if it's anything like FEAR, I'll love it to pieces once I stop being scared shitless by it. It's not as smooth and polished as FEAR... not quite as rough around the edges as STALKER, but close. Pacing wise it is more like Half-Life 2 I would say, rat... |

Well I was just noting it should be included in the report. Though I did think actual gameplay issues were counted, even in TH, just not minor HUD stuff. |

Pick a 4:3 resolution?
Make sure your graphics card is set up to pillarbox it. |

It's a good linear shooter, the atmosphere is intense and insane... just did the "Ghost" level last night and I was freaking out. |

No one expected it to be CnC classic really, I just want to know if it's good. As a singleplayer Dawn of War 2 style game, is it good? |

Gotta say that that is a travesty of pubonic proportions. Although I think I am learning that you Velvet are a Splinter Cell/Tom Clancy fan am I right? I just wouldn't spend more than this paragraph thinking about it. But I agree where you are coming from. A natural progression of consolization I a... |

No, Mass Effect is good, Mass Effect 2 is less good. But neither are contenders for "best games of all time"... firstly, because I don't think I'd be able to play either of them through more than two or three times without getting bored. There isn't enough variety. Well obviously it is a subjective... |

I agree with a slight variation. Whatever the platform, the endgame is to get the customer to spend as much money as possible as often as possible. In a world where digital products inherently have infinite or increasingly long-term viability, how does one "help" one's older products die so new pur... |

BioWare, best games of all time? Just saying BioWare has a proven track record of releasing 'best games of all time', ME2 is not particularly more special than other games it has already made. Well... it's completely different, arguably even from ME1. It's the best open world shooter I have ever pl... |

Somehow I doubt it's another Baldur's Gate or even Dragon Age.
It's nothing like those games what-so-ever, it's not even an RPG really, but I have no idea what that has to do with its quality. |

Just to add insult to injury, the game has been delayed 2 weeks on PC at the last minute, despite their DRM actually working.
I am now firmly of the opinion that Ubisoft is doing all this to push us to consoles.
It might be working, I am sick of stress being part of my gaming. |

I assumed this would happen because of the different engine... sucks though, sorry guys.
For those if you who say you are passing on the game entirely now though, realize this is one of the best games of all time you are giving up on. |

The odd thing is the internet was designed to decentralised and uncontrollable by one person or by a government, the whole point of it was that everyone could access everything on it. The BBC did an extremely good documentary on it called The Virtual revolution. True, but governments find a way, we... |

Ever watched a very young child play with the controller as if he was playing the game during these demo reels, when actually he was controlling nothing? That's what this vid... |

They could just make the use of encryption require a license or something, then bust everyone else who uses it. We've been heading toward government action over the internet since it was put into normal citizen's houses, it was just a slow build up. They will find a way, governments always find a wa... |

I enjoyed IW as a cyberpunk shooter game with some RPG elements, which is what it was. I didn't need it to be a real Deus Ex sequel to find it enjoyable, just like Oblivion is a piss poor sequel to Morrowind but a great open world hack and slasher. |
