It's never been a secret that console games sell better. If that was the reason, they would have been making multiplatform games from the start. It's really not like people suddenly realized that multiplatform games sell better. Or that they suddenly became possible. It is that they suddenly became... |

The thing is that Consoles are basically PC's now, the graphics and gameplay of games can be pretty close to each other. No... they can't. The controller alone does lots to restrict the gameplay of consoles. It's been 16 years, and you still can't do a proper X-Com game on consoles. Consoles are po... |

[quote]With each console generation, I wonder why publishers get more hostile toward the PC More than a couple have explicitly blamed PC piracy for hurting their overall profits. And frankly, it's the only explanation I've heard that makes sense. I wouldn't say piracy, I would say poor sales. Pirac... |

Not sure what needed patched as the game ran fine for me, but a lack of the singleplayer DLC does suck. That said I thought BioShock 2 was a useless retread, so it doesn't bother me incredibly, but still you should support all your platforms equally. I feel bad for community managers though... that ... |

I don't think that it is that bad. It's pretty clear cut that the logic says that you should be unable to play Just Cause 2 again without repurchasing. If you get caught cheating in Starcraft 2 they don't ban your Warcraft 3 CD-Key. They don't ban your World of Warcraft accounts. Ah, the way I read... |

“playing anything other than an unaltered game client violates the Battle.net terms or use. We strongly recommend that you avoid using any hacks, cheats or exploits.” Done. I will likely never purchase this game, even in the bargain bin. I happen to take great pleasure from modding games in a varie... |

Reminds me of "Where's Waldo?". Yes. If it's anything like Baldur's Gate or Fallout you will want to use a much lower resolution than your native one or else it's like playing from an airplane view. With a 1920x1200 screen I play those style of games at 1280x800. D2 had a higher than 640x480 res th... |

I've not seen an MMO yet that actually gives me any reason to believe they're worth playing if I'm not interested in a grind-obsessed-time-sink. Which I'm not. The only ones I gave serious thought to playing were Guild Wars (never got around to it) Guild Wars was the MMO I bought to try the genre o... |

And the urge to play MMOs remains dead. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/finalfantasy14/review.html?tag=topslot;title;4 Reviews aside I watched some gameplay footage on youtube and it looked terrible compared to singleplayer RPGs, as usual for MMOs. If you don't get hard from getting a new hat or pet... |

Yeah, who knows about the US, but they seem hopeful. Word is only the combined version will have any boxed release, the expansion on its own will be DLC. |

It was $20 on amazon for the US for a while... might still be. Well worth that price for Deus Ex-style RPG fans IMO. |

I find it simultaneously amusing and frustrating that they can change the resolution from 640x480 to 1280x720, call it an "HD remaster," and sell it a second time, when you can do that with any PC game made since Quake II for free. I did hear that they are going to "touch up" the textures, but who ... |

Personally I think this game plays much better with a pad, I didn't like it nearly as much on KBM. I am not one of those PC gamers who pretends pads don't exist though, so judge that against your own experience. On my rig the game runs well at max settings, AA on 4. I turned blur off because I don't... |

I like how you get combo cards from exploring as well as saving people and leveling up. I was surprised when I found my first combo card by examining a poster. |

It's a pretty awesome game... the timed missions thing doesn't bother me as I just free roam and level up, saving people when I find them. It's a very open-world game when you play like that and ignore the main mission, as the booklet tells you to do. What level should I actually start the main miss... |

It does have a mandatory release-date check, which connects to Microsoft servers to make sure it is past Septermber 28th. Same as an activation, really. In game though you can still use an offline profile and never activate the actual games for windows thing. |

[quote]Here's what I understood while reading various sites (I'm new to all this): 1) You will "see less on the sides" in 16:10 (compared to 16:9) only if the game is Hor+. And both 16:10 and 16:9 will show the same vertically. 2) However if the game is Ver-, both 16:10 and 16:9 will show the same ... |

You can use an offline account for SP.
Hmmm... this was supposed to be the first GFWL game to have their "0 piracy release day" thing-a-ma-jigger... I guess it doesn't? Good news. |

I believe this is the first GFWL game to have required online activation to run the game through GFWL itself. That's probably why it has no disc check. Not sure why you expected Steam, other than maybe because every freaking game is using it recently.
Waiting on mine from amazon. |
