Can i have my Dalek civilisation to overpower everyone?

Oh God yes.

Or a Borg Civ that wants to assimilate a world... culture and science penalities but combat boosts.

Awesome game, mods have already made it more awesome. This time around Firaxis is releasing a REAL Software Developer's Kit with several tools to edit the game extensively, that stuff should be out within a week. DLL Source code will probably be out within the year. I love how Street Fighter-esque ...

I think everyone with an EA account got one, as I did as well and don't own a PS3.

They're hoping hyping it gets it to sell as well as Halo and Call of Duty.

I'm no marketing major, but I'm pretty sure hyping something too early ends up making the product's excitement meter run out before it releases.

Roads might be a performance issue... the game does have pop-in if you are underpowered PC-wise. Also with scrolling just use the arrow keys.

And no, the zoom is not nearly as far out as Civ4.

Why are they hyping this 2 years before it comes out? Seems strange.

I'm big on open world RPGs, so I'm eager for Two Worlds 2, Gothic 4 and Fallout New Vegas. On top of that my linear shoot-a-thon loving self is always eager to play another Call of Duty game, even if Modern Warfare 2's campaign was a little ass. I have Dead Rising 2 and Medal of Honor also pre-order...

Someone said on the RPS comments that this might have been a display of why their no DRM policy is important... showing people with them you should make backups and then never worry about your games, where as on another service like Steam your backups only work if Steam is still around. Interesting ...

Apparently, there is already exclusive content which will become DLC later. I am sure that will improve the online experience. Well it's one civilization, and it does piss me off as the only way to get it was to buy digitally and I wanted a box. Anyway, the game... Wow, it's amazing. Everything the...

When JoWood starts claiming Arcania has Sony DADC "customer friendly" DRM solution then you know the world is about to end in a fiery ball of evangelistic hell. ROAROAROAROAROARO!)*!)(&!)*.

It's customer friendly in that you can swap the exe out and be done with the damn thing.

I picked this up in a box a few hours ago from Target and I would love to tell you all how it is, but Steam told me to piss off until 10AM.

It comes with a nice poster though.

I usually buy from amazon, but to answer the question legitimately my local Best Buy, Target and Wal-Mart all have robust PC sections. My Best Buy has a larger PC section than PS3 section, though that counts casual games.

Also, GOG has been cryptic throughout the day, saying there will be an announcement on the 22nd. Wikipedia has fixed itself to reflect this. Given the circumstances, I somehow doubt that this announcement will be a pleasant one. Rumors are floating that this might be a PR stunt. If this is the case...

I just love their business model, by which I mean simple executables hosted on a server for you to download DRM-free. Whether this is a real closure or a precursor to a relaunch with a new format I bet either way that business model is dead. The funny thing is that a digital distributor closing over...

Debating this with a bunch of UK dudes on pcgamer.com it became evident to me that the issues I have with this law are very American in nature, i.e. the government shouldn't have any power over media. That seems to be common in other countries... ? Anyway, I am very against it and more importantly i...

I played through the opening and a bit of the area after that and saw nothing what-so-ever that made me want to play it instead of numerous singleplayer RPGs I need to get around to. For MMO fans though it seemed like a good one.

It's very underrated on PC in my opinion due to some technical issues I never experienced, but I still will recommend Gears of War. The campaign is relatively lengthy and the visuals look rather stunning, though constantly dark and brown. The "stop n' pop" gunplay is not for everyone but I enjoy it....

You bet there is... you can get it off Steam.

Also Big Download, for the non-Steam inclined: http://www.bigdownload.com/games/amnesia-the-dark-descent/pc/amnesia-the-dark-descent-demo/
