It was obviously based around 16:9, so widescreen users shouldn't worry, only eyefinity and such.

The texture fix works fine, but you have to hex edit it yourself to have it work properly... something about a hash file.

I last used it years ago and none of that crap worked, basically. If it works now... wow, that's exciting.

Thanks Paddy, I downloaded the sweater vest on its own and it works great, looks better than default to me... more of a spy vibe, or 80s action movie vibe.

I look forward to whatever else you might do!

It would have been cooler if the shops all customized weapons, rather than selling new weapons with customized parts.

Does that mean you play and unlock it through game progression? Or do you mean like DLC and you have to pay for it? Unlock through game progression. Uplay awards achievement points sort of things for doing things in-game and you use those points to unlock bonuses. For Assassin's Creed 2 on PC it wa...

Well the options can be accessed from within the game, so really you only need to hit enter twice and not worry about it too much... if you absolutely need to use the main menu, use a 16:9 res to do so, then change your res back when done. As for a way to fix it, it probably would have been found al...

Well, Valve certainly considers Steam purchases additions to a service, and their SSA makes that very clear and also says they can remove your access at any time, for any reason, as the purchases are not lifetime service contracts but simply last as long as the account does. The Steam SSA is scary s...

I would really wait to see how the GTX 300 series shapes up. I was a stone's throw away from getting a 5870 bit backed out to wait and see what nVidia does.

True, but that's not a fault of Sony (legally). They're providing a service (PSN), and in order to use that service you have to agree to their EULA and terms of use. True... perhaps the issue should be advertising services as part of a hardware purchase? I don't think laws will ever change on what ...

Choosing not to update would make many games unplayable in the future though, and previous online games unable to connect. I would say that seriously impacts the machine even in day one condition, for instance with release day game Resistance Fall of Man. You cannot play that game online and have Li...

I never played Silent Hill, I just know Dead Space had limited ammo, limited storage and was slow-paced and very scary. That seems like survival horror to me.

"Does it play games?"

"Not really."

"Not interested."

Yeah, they have been pretty up front about it now being an action game. I still want a PC port in case it is a great action game, but it is certainly a disappointment since the original was a rare actual survival horror game.

It's all about the unwashed masses now, my friend.

As for what SV said, that isn't true. Sony has supported Linux, and homebrew, ever since the original PSX regardless of piracy. Their support wasn't to preempt piracy, otherwise they would have just let people install Linux to begin with. Instead, they not only supported Linux, but they also provid...
