The steam forums offer no solutions. For some reason, editing the ini file makes the game refuse to start. I think it's checksum protection, a few other UE3 games had a "feature" like that but I'm not certain. Maybe the hex values for resolution aren't stored in the exe... could be in a dl... |

Can't choose any resolution above 1920x1080. Would like 2560x1600 but the .ini file is checksum protected and the game won't start if you change anything. Standard Unreal Engine 3 game. I've also tried d3d9.dll file replacement but they give errors and game won't start. Also searching the exe for re... |

I haven't a clue if it's Hor + or ver-. I rarely pay attention to those things as long as all my pixels are being used.
I was hoping you could tell by looking at the screenshots, which is why i put them up. |

Change your resolution in game to 1920x1200, then it should be the resolution you hexed in the exe. |

I was going to post this a while ago but hadn't gotten around to it. The only solution i've found after trying all others is to hex edit the exe. Using the razor1911 fixed exe, go to offset 008A6860 and change 8007 0000 b004 (8007 b004 is hex for 1920x1200) and put in your native res in hex but leav... |

Then there's a difference between the demo and full version.
Plain text is always best though.

99% of the people who play d2 play on bnet... so it's pretty much useless then for most people. |

How did you get it to work? When i run d2multires.exe, it runs for a few secs, generates a log file then nothing. It's still running in task manager but using 0% cpu. I tried running diabloii.exe but going into bnet, it says "cannot identify version etc". Could you list the steps you took to get it ... |

Run gish and make sure that gish.cfg exists. Go to offset 4 and put in your horizontal resolution in hex and then go to offset 8 and put in your vertical.
Tested on version 1.43 and works at 2560x1600. |

Playing it at 2560x1600 at the moment. It's in your "my documents" folder in the rogue trooper folder. save0.rtp file. go to offset 17C and put in your 1680 resolution in hex with the bits flipped. so you would put 9006 (which is 1680) then in offset 180 you'd put 1A04 (1050). I think these settings... |

Not "completely" but it's still going to be a thorn in my eye. Heck, i don't play any of my games that don't run at native res anymore... I have since turned off scaling so those games look tiny on my 30inch monitor. Never forget, you the user also have rights. Just because the artist "forces" his "... |

As far as i'm concerned, putting black bars in the image ruins this game for me. I only care about filling up my screen rather than being absolutely "aspect ratio correct". I can take some distorting and stretching as opposed to losing 25% of my monitor's viewing area. Maybe someone will release a p... |

Refuses to run in 32bit at 2560x1600. And 16-bit mode looks like trash.
At first i thought it was just me but then the poster above confirmed it isn't. |
