Does overriding the directx Hz in dxdiag not work?

Excellent game - If played right. Perhaps a little to slow paced for adrenaline junkies who like to complete games in 5 hours. Play slower, smell the roses you know? It's an adventure game played first person, not UT III. Anyway, there's a little known unofficial patch that allows you to alter the F...

Yep.

Half Life 2
Episode 1
Episode 2

All work perfectly with the crosshair enabled. Even Fake Factory's Hi-res graphics update works with it - so bring it on!

In today's day and age it is RIDONKULOUS that game devs not code in proper WS support. I posted to let fellow triplehead users know not to bother wasting their money on this mess so as not to get taken to the cleaners like I did. Have you posted anything worthwhile lately yourself or do you just tr...

I hope it's easily fixed for triplehead but either way they have some patching to do on this thing. It looks like a direct console port with all associated bugs. Hi there. So let me make sure I don't misunderstand you?.. The game is a mess? It's a console port with all associated bugs? All the post...

Am I the only one on the net who gets a 'meh' reaction to crysis? somehow doesn't seem much new than farcry or any of the other generic shooters from years past.

Nope, you're not the only one mate... That nano schmano suit is just to console for my liking. Really REALLY puts me off.....

I find the 120 degree FOV just a little too narrow. The game calculates the FOV by a strange method of using three quarters of the required FOV as the actual number.. EG if you choose 90 degrees in the menu, the game actually has this in config as 67.5 degrees. (90 / 4 = 22.5 x 3 = 67.5) weird huh? ...

Er wouldn't it be easier to use the vampire respatcher? I mean instead of a hex editor.. It works perfectly. You just enter your chosen resolution(s) and hey presto! Done. No fiddling about... Just a thought. Can you post a link to the vampire respatcher? No probs! http://www.fileplanet.com/156598/...

Yeah ... great stuff ... khula ... shame about that 4:3 shot hopefully someone else will supply it. Oh yes.. I learnt a strict lesson with this... Backup the damn files before you start altering them! I plan on re-installing this game soon (after I decide to install vista or not). I'll post before ...

I'm happy to give her and 2K the benefit of doubt ... These things take time and big companies can often be slow ... I say lets see ... most games have problems when they are first released. Paddy, well done mate for that original screenshot combo of yours on page 1 of that 2k thread that highlight...

I posted about this issue on PCZone's technical site under the bioshock thread... http://forums.dearwandy.com/viewtopic.php?id=23527 Page 3 near the bottom. Their reviewer replied with a very interesting point, namely "This wasn't mentioned in the PC Zone review because we didn't know about it. We d...

khula - My opinion is my opinion. I didn't really care for Half-Life 2, but I can see why others would do. So far, for Bioshock... the same. But games that I think are better than the two of them... Deus Ex instantly springs to mind. I think F.E.A.R might well be an option as well, as I enjoyed tha...

Initial thoughts on Bioshock, given the demo... 1) Runs really well on my gaming rig. Way better than I expected, given the skuttlebutt doing the rounds. Nice a smooth, even at 1920x1200 with everything at max. Of course, how that plays out to the full game is beyond me, given that I've had demos r...

Geoff Crammonds GP4 is awesome! Modded with either the 2006 or 2007 season, there's nothing like it! It has a head tilt function similar to a padlock view in flight sims that allows you to look into the corner as you drive the car round to meet your field of view. Amazing! It is very hardcore tho.....
