Glad it worked for you too. Another note for Painkiller players: this game has serious issues with multicore CPUs, so it does not work always fine. I posted before I had to force vSync to get it to work properly, but it does not fix it. The only way to get rid of problems on modern CPUs is to set g... |

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume that the res is game lited at 1440x900 as that is all the switch mod allows. I really wish the game developers would've included full support for WS as it's been out long enough now that there really is no excuse not to. Some older games yeah, i can unde... |

Vinit should you decide to buy a WS Monitor in the Future do some shopping around, and stick around and do some reading here. There are lots of great posts about these things that can help you with the new technology out there. Personally I went with a HDTV for my monitor becasue I wanted a full ent... |

I just loaded up NASCAR Sim Racing and can confirm that the 3D Setup Shortcut solution posted above does indeed show all 16 and 32 bit resolutions. I set mine up for my Native Res of 1360x768 on my 32" Olevia and it works perfectly. This game does fully support WS. I have not yet updated my copy. I ... |

I'm glad i read this report. I too am a Poker fan and have been eyeballing this game. From the sounds of it, it looks like everything is hex coded. You may or may not be able to edit things with a hex editor, but I know I'm not gonna buy it if I have to do that. I did that with one game and ended up... |

I can confirm that this game also supports 1360x768 on my monitor. I have the original Version updated to the latest patch (v1.64).
Without the patch it does not support it on the original version, but patched it does. CFomplete support via the video options page inside the game. Very cool. 8) |

I have the original Painkiller, I could load it up and check it at 1366x768. I have the Olevia 32" and that is my native res. I suspect it'll work. In fact, I'm gonna load it up and see as I'm curious. Will report back in a little bit. :) |

I guess we're seeing a YMMV situation. I like ATi too. I'm definitely not a fanboy. Daggone that crap gets me ill. I'm just like you there. In fact, it's why I don't post on alot of OC'ing forums anymore. They just won't cut that crap out, and everytime something starts getting into the inner workin... |

Actually I've had more trouble with ATi drivers than any other issue...especially when I was benchmarking. They'd get corrupted every single run where my nVidia drivers would stay stable as a rock and not get corrupted. I got higher benchmarking scores with nVidia accross the board. None of ATi driv... |

I'm gaming on an Olevia 232V 32" and so far it's been great. The native res is 1360x768.The price was what was really great...half the price of the others I looked at. |

Off course you should make the jump to widescreen. I personally think it'll become the new standard. It already is. :) Take it from someone who just got a new Olevia 32" TFT. It rocks man! What are you waiting on? Do you really have to ask? We have been looking through a square box so long (4:3) th... |

I'm using a MS Intellimouse Excplorer 2.0 with my faithful "Freedom" mouse pad I got at Office Depot. It has a flag with an eagle in front of it. It also cleans up nicely with a small scrub brush and some dawn dishwashing detergent. It's not a plastic pad. it's a fabric pad with a rubber backing. Th... |

Yeah, I stopped reading after the bashing started. Personally I run nVidia and try to stick with it, but this bashing and brand loyalty fanboi stuff is what ruins alot of forums. It's also why I am no longer a member of many of them. It's why I came here. People here are low key, have their head scr... |

This is great information. I've been clocking and gaming for a long long time, and one thing I've learned is this... There are two ways to pay for a power unit... 1. You can pay for it now. (The Easy Way) 2. You can pay for it later. (The HARD way, becasue you get to buy not only a new PSU, ... |

Holy Cow! I've read two threads about kids and these Widescreens. I have a 9 yearold nephew and just got a widescreen, and me an him are gonna have a serious talk next time he comes over. That will protect him from what I would do to him if he damaged it, and would protect me from going to jail! LOL... |
