As far as I'm concerned, you called yourself names by posting at all. And search results at a glance: http://www.guru3d.com/article/core-i7-multigpu-sli-crossfire-game-performance-review/8 near identical performance in multi-gpu with a core duo vs i7, from the same site from which you took your 'res...

Without FSAA the gain fails at 2560x1600. With FSAA it'd likely drop before that, probably well before it would help you gain anything whatsoever on a 3840x800 or 3840x1024 setup. And if you want to be treated with respect, you should post with some. It's a two way street. Your last reply only confi...

If they detailed settings more, I'd be inclined to trust their results, right now though, they lack too much of it. For starters they don't seem to use FSAA, which as CPU for GPU use, is one of the biggest customers. As for you (xetura), so far you seem to me like a fanboy, and therefore not worth t...

Slightly better, sure but not that much, and lots more expensive.

Contrast used to be a useful spec. now's diluted into marketing speak with dynamic and other non-sense tagged on. Same goes for anything over 60Hz: there's - 120Hz with 60 blank frames inserted between real ones. - 120Hz with tv calculated half-previous-frame half-next-frame composite. - 120Hz with ...

Smaller panels only go up to 1680x1050.

Not true, some 22" are 1920x1080.

- it is only 16 bit color haven't looked at the config file yet huh? - doesn't support SLI or Crossfire 3 cards, 2 in sli + third crapper works. - takes a big performance hit. in 3D fps games th2g doesn't? - lag on the L and R screen by 0.3 seconds. making FPS games unplayable and "looks/feel wierd"...

I used to use the tomshardware charts but after seeing that they basically state sli 8800ultra, tri-sli8800ultra and sli 280/260 are almost identical, I'm not sure how trustworthy their results are.

The only real conclusions I've ever seen were along the lines of 'violent games increase adrenaline therefore make you more violent'. But those guys apparently have never seen hockey or football games or the fights their players get into. Politicians have used that 'violent games need control' angle...

There might be, provided matrox uses software to hijack the display output that only a th2g would understand and use compression of some kind. Or maybe do something similar to old voodoo2 bonding with both dvi ports of a card in clone mode to double the bandwidth out available. Even if the pc to th2...

Allow user to create any resolution, official support included or not.

Including not-same-ratio mixes, like 2 4:3 + 1 16:9 etc.

Ratio is neat, but what resolution does it use? a stretched 1080p like plasma do with xga or something else?

So far seems more marketing gimmick than anything else.

Definitely beats a th2g provided a decent res. though.

I've never had a problem with Asus boards, but I know that a lot of others can't say the same. The problem isn't whether they work or not, the problem is when they don't, you get 0 help from asus support. I even sent in a test question that, answered truthfully the answer was false, the answer I go...

Easy way: output image to th2g box including black bars to offset bezel part. Takes more bandwidth but less overhead/programming on the box itself. Hard way: output image without black bars, reducing rendered image by x pixels in 2 spots before sending to box. Only extra bandwidth are a few numbers ...

You have normal hearing, that's why you don't get that 'noise problem' I mainly hate fans because they're: - unnecessary - proof of a lack of good design - not cheaper than fanless alternatives A properly designed device can be fanless, cheaper and still function as needed. Proof is available alread...

monitor vs projector, price isn't the only difference.

a monitor doesn't have a loud fan, a lamp to be changed after a few months or the need for an expensive screen.

When you say it works directly to the monitor is that through vga same as when with the th2g or with dvi? the monitor might use 2 controllers, one for dvi, one for vga and they might not have the same tolerances. Example, this w42 i'm using uses 2 different chipsets, one for vga+dvi on the left and ...

dopefish, I don't count post-release patches, a game shouldn't be that unstable and buggy out the gate, there was a time when a game going 'gold' meant something, now it no longer does.

And here I thought I might get saints row 2 instead of bug city IV. I knew the saints row devs wanted to copy much of it but you know, bugs and other crap shouldn't have been included. Shameful, they should put in rules where a publisher is forced to recall and reimburse all copies of it's game when...
