I would, except I haven't been able to boot off the cd unless no OS is installed. It boots to hdd no matter that I set cd first in boot order and put 'usb boot first' active either.

Had to frankenstein a drive on the floor next to it to reinstall it last time, guess I'll have to do that again.

Don't worry about it, I'm just just at the end of my wits with this, I gave up for a few days since I simply don't see any solution to this. I've tried all I could think of short of trying the card in another rig, but I don't want to screw up another rig I'll need to reinstall either.

I've tried both a corsair HX620 and once I knew it took about 220w peak on boot, I put it on the 350w antec phantom I wanted to use for the build. I've calculated the max amps on 5v and 12v and as far as I can tell either of these power supplys is more than enough. I don't think it's a power issue s...

Figured I'd bump my thread to ask for help. I built the server using: Centurion 590 case + 2 4in3 modules 8x WD 500gb hard drives 1x WD 80gb boot drive Intel Atom 330 motherboard Highpoint rocketraid 454 pci controller. Vista x64 80gb boot is off the motherboard controller, 8 500gb on the 454. I've ...

Even if it's not officially included, wasn't there a hl2 mod to add it to it?

I've seen those 'use 2 psu as one' deals before, even those 5 1/4 bay gpu psus. I've never trusted either because my electrical instincts tell me one way or another 1 of the 2 will at some point try to 'charge' the other and cause major damage. External enclosures are nice, when they work. None I've...

I can't test this myself but I just thought of something that might possibly help 3x1680x1050@57Hz problems: 1- Disable all but 1 of the monitors, set it to 1024x768@60Hz. 2- Use nvidia custom res. to add 1680x1050@57Hz with advanced->auto 3- Use nvidia custom res. to add 5040x1050@57Hz with advance...

Falke, I replied for a single reason: This kind of thread is pointless. No matter what outrage you might have that your gear isn't working, posting this kind of thread doesn't help. If what is supposed to work doesn't then be in contact with those that can impact it, be it microsoft, nvidia, matrox ...

Artmoney, like tsearch, cheat engine and countless others is a general memory search and edit tool, typically used to cheat but can be used to change fov in a game as well. I played with that a bit in UT3.

It's not technically made for NFS, that was simply the example game they used.

Any resolution at 57Hz is not remotely standard. Most lcds run at 60Hz, if they work a bit more or less than that, bonus, they're not expected to. That I've seen issues with resolutions not functionning have more to do with lcd that don't like any setting outside their native resolution and scan rat...

That tends to prove their 'no release on pc because of piracy' argument kinda moot doesn't it?

Not so easy to torrent those babies, is it? Actually, I remember an article one time of someone somehow getting an arcade version of I think street fighter IV and making a home / console out of it. Regardless of DRM, the main cause of piracy that I've seen are internal leaks which would get t...

Take the .inf from a known working driver and copy the 2 lines relating to the 9800gx2 into it, should work, the drivers are mostly unified and I do that to use the latest driver on a laptop/mobile part which is rarely included. example: 2 lines from new driver, lines of the GTX 260: %NVIDIA_GT200.D...

Sorry, it's just my interpretation of the sli+multiple monitor support only on games such as flight sim. X, supreme commander, etc, only big name games, I made up the payed part.

I don't see why only some games should be able to use it, just like sli should work with just about any d3d/ogl game.

We'll see how the official support goes once the 180 are fully released. Unfortunately so far it seems to be a case of 'only the big name games that payed us for it will be multi-screen sli enabled'

I'm trying to avoid buying gear to replace some I've already got lying around with no use. I've got an antec P180, Thermaltake Tsunami Dream, Antec Performance 1080 or something, an old p2 box in the corner and a lian li PC-S80. I've got at least 5 motherboards not in use, 4 with cpus/ram, 1 without...

Well, after evaluating 3 of my current cases, 2 of which are empty atm. I've come to the conclusion that 8-10 IDE drives is simply not feasible. Not without 150CFM ear bleeding delta fans and major case conversion to add spots. I've found a possible option to use those weak sata 1-1.5tb drives but p...
