anyone thinking of 6 monitors for gaming is a nut. Whaayyy to much bezel it would be soo annoying.I don't believe that the ability or wish to afford and implement a 6-screen solution qualifies one as being a large, dry, oily seed. I'm already in the process of figuring out what I need to do to use ... |

I don't know the intricacies of such a setup, running XP64+ATI+20", but I have to ask:
Have you updated the firmware on your TH2GoDE unit? |

Does anyone have it working correctly at this resolution? Admittedly, my scenario won't be supported but... I've got 2x 3870 in Crossfire powering 3x Dell 20" monitors using a TH2GoDE unit. Surprisingly, after all the updates have been applied, I can actually run 1680x1050 on each screen (which have... |

@svet-am: a default install of Ubuntu or openSUSE won't recognise the second card. I've made a number of attempts using the open-source and proprietary ATI drivers with no success (with fglx crashing the entire installation). Additionally, modification of xorg.conf has yielded few results. Are you a... |

Aiming for surround productivity without TH2GO *grins* Had all manner of problems trying to configure openSUSE and Ubuntu, so would like to know if anyone has experience running multiple monitors off multiple cards? Have 2x HD3870 in the box, and can't seem to get three monitors up in either distro.... |

Sorry - away from my workstation and won't see it for another week. Just asking while I've got access to the forum.
Running 2x HD3870, 3x 20" @ 1600x1200, DTH2Go, Catalyst 8.11. |

I've trawled, but cannot locate any recent discussion. We've seen an increase in resolutions for 16:9; I imagine 3x1680x1050 is looking pretty hot for most. Unfortunately - and to the misconception of some users in other forums - not all those with TH setups are NOT made of money and cannot afford t... |

They certainly have, and it was a pleasant surprise. The only card that were affected by the D3DCap were X and pre-X series; only the HD series has only ever suffered with the 800x600 res. Since about version 8.3 (?) of the Catalyst driver, even my X1950 Pros were able to drive the screens at 3840x1... |

Firmware hack, anyone? There seems to be a great deal of bored computer scientists and software engineers out their (hell, there are three active PSP hacker crews that I can recall). I think (or at least, hope) that if Matrox decide to ream their supporters and not provide an update (but rather, for... |

Known 'issue'? Using the TH2Go DE my screen pops up on the lefthand side running at 1600x1200. I'm sure that rumour had it, that a firmware update was available, allowing the screen to pop up on the centre screen. I haven't been able to locate anything other than Powerdesk and SGU updates on the sit... |

Though spanning may be new (really?) to ATI users, I don't think that was quite the aim of your argument in the main, was it?
From the get-go, were you talking about spanning, or an implementation of surround gaming exclusive of a DH or TH? |

I'm not a greenie (not that there's anything wrong with that) but I always turn off at the powerpoint in any case. Got a fair bit of electronics in the house, and it would surprise many how much power is drawn from the wall even when you believe the units are off. A number of manufacturers even stat... |
