i haven't played wow for years (quit just after TBC released), never used my aol account in any way connected to the game when i did, and don't use the account for anything at all now. the last dealings i had with blizzard was to make a battle.net account when they changed the way you log in to wow,...

my years old hitachi 17" lcd is finally getting retired and i had planned on replacing it with one of the 22" 16:9 1080 monitors that have begun popping up. however, using some rebates and cashbacks i can get the Dell SE248WFP down to a wallet-friendly £220-ish. anyone have experience with this mon...

Anywho, was going to add another +1 to dead space being a lot better than expected. Absolutely no flaws so far. Only up to level 5... so ages to go. Fallout 3 is sitting upopened though next to it. Just picked them both up. Trying to get DS out of the way so i can waste 100 hrs into fallout. i pick...

i'd have to agree that this is one of the best games i have played all year and has scared the shit out of me one more than one occasion. that being said... my pc is still connected to a non-widescreen monitor and playing this game that way is a truly horrid, horrid experience. there just isn't a bi...

is there an easy way to open up the fov when using a non-widescreen monitor? like bioshock, i find the view makes my head swim after about 20 mins. i tried the racer_s hack but it just made my display look all wierd and the in-game console doesn't seem to have a fov_XX command at all. funny thing is...

i use my tosh regza 37XV505DB for games i can play with my joypad, and it's been a blast so far. it's got an "exact scan" mode for gaming so it always fills the screen. haven't used it for anything more than gaming. if i need to use my pc for non-game stuff i always use my normal monitor (ancient 17...

The original core Blizzard team is all over the HL title and it shows, awfully bad game, a real let down IMO. while flagship might be made up of ex-blizzard people, there's no way in hell HL would actually have shipped like it did if it had been published by blizzard. that, i think, is the big diff...

Don't mean to sound rude but that explanation makes even less sense. I could understand to a degree if someone is used to brushed and/or less resolute textures saying the mod makes her skin look plastic due to more reflection, but proportion wise she's just the same. The mod does no shape changing ...

Lower FOV is also known to give people motion sickness, I defiantly felt it in the bioshock demo.

this happened to me when playing bioshock, too. i had to just give up and wait for the widescreen hack before i could play it properly.

I have used the lower file size version of the FakeFactory Cinematic mod and I thought the textures were noticeably better, including Alyx. You so much as make someone's skin look smoother and more responsive to light and suddenly you get all these people saying it looks horrible, plastic, slutty, ...

The Cinematic Mod looks awesome, but the last time I looked at it, I didn't like the way Alyx was changed. Flashes of lacy bra material might get all of the teenagers who've never seen a real woman naked going... but jeez... the almost-tomboy Alyx should not look like a hooker with a boob and lip-j...

i was in exactly the same situation as you a few weeks ago. i looked at both consoles and they are pretty much the same. all this fanboy hate seems kinda silly when the two consoles are just as good as each other. in the end it came down to three things: 1. my two brothers-in-law are getting new pho...

Well if you can run at 100FPS we need to fix that... DOwnload cinematic mod for HL2 does this mod add that much to the experience? i've bought the orange box and have finished the main game + ep1 and i'm around half-way through ep2. i've also just done some major upgrading to my pc. from a 2 gig am...
