Guys, I *highly* recommend you set

r_glow_allowed "0"

in your config files. Must be similar to HBAO in BC2 or something as it cripples my machine. Really nice & playable once it's switched off...doubled my fps I'd say.

So I guess the inferance here is that there's no out of the box support with Black Ops? Considering a purchase myself, but I think I'll wait until a solution is out there.

They're working hard on DA2 so I can't see them spending the time to fix this now. I'm kinda used to it after spending nearly 300 hours on this game!

When you phone the UK team, tell them it's the same issue as I have reported in case #4611341283 (which is still outstanding). It would be good to let them know there's more than one of us (at least!)

By the way, the hp UK support number is 0845 1610030

This is crazy, ATI really shouldn't be pumping stuff out that encourages people to do potentially damaging things to their monitors. I'm stopping short of re-flashing the EDID on my monitors. If ATI can't point their driver at the EDID overrides in the registry instead of the monitors themselves wit...

Just re-update the drivers for your monitors in device manager.

Thanks for the info, but I thought you ended up flashing your Samsungs instead because you couldn't flash the DP port on the LP2475w...? I'm in the same boat, and want to keep using DP on my HP monitor.

I happen to work for hp and have requested an updated firmware for the monitor, but I'm not holding my breath. I've also had a replacement panel from hp, manufactured in Feb 2010 so bang up to date, and it has the same crap EDID data. I suspect the ATI drivers look at the actual EDID on the monitor,...

Grrr this is still not working on my setup and it's starting to **** me off! Come on ATI, get your act together. We should not have to mess about with flashing EDID data to get bezel compensation working, it's just totally unnecessary.

I've been hassling them to fix this in the proper 10.3 release, but never get a response. I guess we'll see later today...

Hmm, the dumbing down of PC games continues then . I guess these developers are going where the money is. Well I was quite excited about this game, not any more. At least the Battlefield franchise still appears to be taking us seriously.

As one of the 2010 releases mentioned officially by ATI as having Eyefinity support, it's not looking bad. HUD fix to centre would be nice though. Separate from TH support, the graphics look rather dated to me, certainly not what you'd expect from a 2010 release. I wonder if the XBox had something t...

Ok I've been posting in that Rage3D thread and it looks like those of us with non-identical monitors are going to struggle at the moment. Mine have just a slightly different size, which it seems is enough to cause the bezel compensation malarkly a problem... HP LP2475w --- Screen size.............. ...

Bizarre, I am experiencing exactly the same thing. Map at around 2880 width, navigation arrows work ok. Any other size, doesn't work.
