Hi,
It is OK for me with Quardro FX570M,My laptop is Thinkpad T61P.
it can output 5760x1080 50HZ to our device through DVI output.
Please read the thread more detailed: I'm talking of VGA output instead of DVI! DVI is only available using docking station which I don't have at home. |

May also depends on the laptop GPU, it may not have enough RAM to support the resolution?
It's a Nvidia Quadro FX570M.
total 1407 MB RAM, video dedicated memory 128 MB, shared system memory 1279 MB, that should be enough if calculated it right. What do you think! :nudgenudge |

"May I assume you are using 1920x1200 or 1920x1080 monitors? This is the only real reason it wouldn't choose to use a TH resolution."
No, I have 3 x (1024x1280).
The question is why this error message of not beeing able to set the according configuation. |

Now I would like use all 3 monitors from my Laptop, too, disconnecting the dvi and connecting the VGA output of my laptop. I can only display 2 monitors (unfortunately the most left and the most right) even with latest ... |

Driver sweeper + 182.50 + beta GXM = success ! :D Setup was a no-brainer, the setup wizard took care of everything. Finally, my Vista64 can show off in both 2560x1600 and 5040x1050. No more booting in XP to enjoy TripleHead. I'm happy ! Please be a bit more detailed: at which frequency does it run ... |

OK, I dunno to be honest, someone (somewhere.....) in one of the many 5040 threads posted that he could ...AFAIK trying to get 60HZ at 5040 working is a dead end. Sorry for the confusion. Sorry, but after half a year (!) trying in vaine with hundrets of different hints I would like to wait for some... |

OK, have you tried ctrl-alt-deleting out of the test failed? Someone had this in Win7 and that worked. But yeah the BETA should get around the out of range error, so I don't know why your rig won't work. However the (TNT)BW got his working using the BETA so there is no point for him to muck around ... |

You can't do 5040 at 60Hz only 57, it is a limit of the DVI cable (apparently!). If you are at 5040 just stick with it. Problem is the following: monitors report much less than standing in settings, e.g. if there's in driver settings 57Hz in fact it is something like 55Hz which is much too low for ... |

Matrox support said, it's NVIDIA error!
Please hackers, be mercy with us, and patch the driver of Matrox, because they seem not to be able to solve this.
I proved that it's not NVIDIA error but they claim not!! |

Nope the BETA powerdesk works for me in Win7, I don't have Vista installed at the moment. So it is not written for a specific driver, the NV driver for Win7 is a different, BETA one itself. I tried now 3 cards of NVIDIA: GTX8800, 200 and 280 and NONE of them was able to produce 1680x1050@60H... |

Nope I'm sorry I get the same test failed, but cos I've got 200 series GPU, the BETA one works for me straight out. The only thing to do is try all the stuff from the custom res threads... Today I got a Nvidia 280 from a friend to test. Do I have to deinstall nvidia / matrox driver and then reinsta... |

So your displays won't display @55Hz? Or have you still not got 5040x1050 available at all? 55HZ seems to be the new standard rather than 57Hz, for the latest and BETA PD_SE My displays show at 5040x1050@55Hz: not optimun mode and go black after 30 sec. I already saw when I manually entered 60Hz th... |

EDIT: aahh just noticed you are using the 8800GTX, it doesn't work with the BETA version, it is only 200 series...sorry ignore below :( ... It will then install itself and ask for a restart, on restart it will give you 5040. .... Yes it does, but at a foolish refresh rate of 55hz!! I tried RivaTunt... |

Have you tried the BETA GXM from the link in the first post? If you have a 200 series card you should be OK Yes, no success. I don't understand why I'm not able to set res manually, in driver inf file there's only bullsh. nobody can recognize res and frequ. Sorry, but I'm starting to hate this beca... |

7) manually create your 5040 custom resolution Good joke if system doesn't let you skip test of it.
