Guys, we are not adovating in any way that there should be exclusions for other hardware support. What we do is adovcate (very hard) support for Eyefinity and we provide lots of hardware supporting it and the software know-how in order to get developers/publishers to include it in their titles. How ... |

Terry tells me the fix should have gone into Cat 10.4, so I'd give those a whirl. |

I know there was some changes in the driver to help out with this but I don't know which branch they have made it in. Try turning on mouse trails (and limiting their size if they annoy you) to see if it resolves the issue if you are still getting it on the driver release you're using. |

Crossfire works in landscape irrespective of number of panels or API but not in portrait, irrespective of number of panels or API. This is actually a legacy notion from when Crossfire only operated in single panel mode and is being addressed for Eyefinity in the future. If DX10 is therem I've no ide... |

Yes, for those that are buying or have bought the Eyefinity 6 Edition then you should use this driver as opposed to anything else. |

Actually there has been people able to get 5 monitors in landscape working, via SoftTH and Eyefinity. I got it working with a TH2go and SoftTH. But in general, I've seen people use extended desktops of more than 5 for years. People who trade stocks have these setups. Plus We've seen that this card ... |

The "profiles" are not end user profiles, but a mechanism for us to patch the profiles that are stored within the driver ourside of a driver release. So, if you installed Cat 10.3a and then installed the update then you'll have the latest profiles that are available. |

No, with NVIDIA it generally comes up with a nvlddmkm error. Here is a thread on it over at (and atikmpag.sys) NVIDIA's forums:
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=100800&hl=nvlddmkm
I'd take a look. |

Best to get them from the correct source. Searching for some of the preview drivers may get you a leaked set which will not have the latest updates. |

Thats whats known as a generic error and could point to a myriad of things - it could be cuased by the software install, it could be caused by a problem with the graphics card, it could be a stick of memory going bad, it could be that the system isn't getting enough power, etc., etc. |

This may sound trite and a little annoying to those that are eagerly awaiting this board, but I (for the time being) am going to wheel out the "when it's ready" response. Sorry. In Scott's HD 5830 review over at Tech Report he did give some indication as to why the Eyefinity 6 Edition hasn't been he... |

This is an application detection thing, so it really needs to be fixed on the developer side, unfortunatly. The only way you could make this work is if you ended up with the black borders on the sides. However, going forward we are due to release our Eyefinity API which we'll make available to devel... |

Purely from an interest perspective, what's happened to these drivers that makes them undesirable to submit for WHQL? (I know from the HardOCP article what the extras are, I just wondered what the changes were 'underneath'... if you know/are allowed to say?) They are not undesirable, the "preview" ... |

These are actually a slight superset of the WHQL release as there are few additional tweak gone on. If you don't care about certification these are the best ones to go with. |

Bezel management will break the detection for the HUD placement in DiRT2. i.e. they detect if it is a resolution that is divisible by 3, but the bezel management resolution is not. |

Ahhh very good, this is true as im only running a 2.66Ghz celeron D in the mean time while i wait for my new i7 setup. Wouldnt it be an advantage to disable it in this case so that there isnt any further loss in performance in the card having to run logic to determine the throttling? There shouldn'... |
