PowerPlay is entiely GPU activity based, so it only drops down to lower speeds if there isn't sufficient activity to require full clocks on the the GPU. A lowered GPU clock and a lowered frame rate tells me that the CPU isn't supplying enough data to the GPU, so it is clocking down because it is wai...

That's good that they did the update. However the details are not entirely complete. More and more people are having success with the passive DP->VGA adapters, especially the HP (made by Bizlink) ones. There are no "passive" DP->VGA adapters, by definition. Unlike DVI, DP doesn't actually pass a VG...

When AMD have a page saying "AMD Eyefinity Validated Dongle", people go there, since they have heard that there is issues with some dongles and also want lower prices for their dongles. Unless they were linked directly to it from a forum thread or something, then you'd have gone through the Eyefini...

Go to www.amd.com/eyefinity and the one of the links is "Learn how to configure your monitors, which then points to (among other things) Display Connectivity "How to connect displays to an ATI Eyefinity capable graphics card".

If you would specify which adapter that can be used for the third screen/adapter in cases where there is no native DP screen, people would be less confused. I've seen this page linked up several places when people ask which adapter to choose for third screen.:) Well, it is specificed in that Displa...

We're a chip manufacturer and we have partners that make products based off our chips - at some point in time partners may choose to make boards with just one DVI and 2 or 3 DP's so we have to point out to partners and end users which adapters will operate in those conditions.

I didn't notice the outer edges of the side screens, do we lose real estate like Matrox? If not, and it goes edge to edge then I have to say kudo's to ATI :D

No, you don't lose anything - this is why the compensated resolution is larger.

So this ends up using bezel management on the desktop as well as in games? Wouldn't that cause some problems with some applications (do windows still limit themselves to the monitors correctly)? As Ibrin points out in the video once you've done the bezel compensation setup the compensated and non-c...

Someone pointed out a workaround for the "big" cursor which might be worthwhile trying in other cases - turn on "mouse trails" in the Windows mouse control panel (reduce the trail size to the minimum if this bothers you). The "big cursor" issue should be fixed in an upcoming driver; I personally don...

Has there been any "official" BIOS updates from any of the 5770 makers as yet? I got the impression that ATI have informed them all of the DP problems, it seems they are a bit slow in reacting? Create support tickets with you AiB. Sapphire appear to be resonding to theirs: http://www.hardforum.com/...

There was an ATI 10.1 Hotfix released shortly after the 10.1. Apparently it fixes some issues with crossfire maybe it is worth a try if you havn't already updated to it.

This is basically Cat 10.1 with a Crossfire X and control panel AA profile for Mass Effect 2.

ATI should be working with distributers such as ASUS to release official sanctioned new BIOS revisions. http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/display-flashing-when-connected-to-displayport.aspx As per the KB article, please contact ASUS and request a new BIOS if they have not already made one ...
