The version of the adpater is important as well. The 1.01 FW referenced on the site has been qualified; the "FW 034" version that appears to be floating around a lot should generally be OK, but 1.01 is best.

Thats the new power mode kicking in. At the desktop its putting the second card into a sleep state to save power, hence it reports 0 clocks; it wakes up when a game is being used.

Try Crysis, Far Cry 2, HAWX, stuff like that to see if there is scaling.

Yep thats what he means, i cant believe its still not fixed nearly 4 months later. takes me about 20 goes and sometimes a reboot to get back into eyefinity. Still no sign of bezel management either. Grey Screen of death getting on my nerves, never had a card that crashed so much, just about ready t...

I think there should be a better explaination about the criteria for Eyefinity ready and Eyefinity validated. The OP pictures are not what I would expect if a game was Eyefinity ready or validated.

In that condition it is neither.

But "EyeFinity Ready"... if ATi tested ME2 and saw that behaviour it shouldn't be "Ready" it should be "broken". You're confusing two different things there. The Slide is intended as a list of titles and developers we are working with for the stuff in 2010 (hence the title "ISV Adoption"). The Eyef...

Well shouldn't titles be taken off that list that don't actually work YET. I see this as Very Bad False Advertisement on ATI's part. Good Job ATI. :rockout There is a difference between showing titles that we are working with the developers to those that are listed on the Eyefinity site. The list i...

There is no indication that all titles will have out of the box support. The notion of Eyefinity support for titles that are being released for quite some time is late in their production cycles and if they didn't already consider these resolutions beforehand then additional work need to go into it....

Having a XFX 5870, should I use the XFX specific one of the ATI one?

I would suggest you speak to XFX and ask them to provide an update BIOS based of the latest base BIOS but with the correct clock speeds for your model.

1.) The the cooler versioning is specific to the HD 5770.
2.) A fan is not just a fan. The BIOS contains a fan table that is specific to the type of cooler that is supplied on the board.

As far as I'm aware it shouldn't be necessary. By the time the other type of shroud came in the production BIOS had already been updated.

Try that for HD 5770. Note that this is only for the board designs with the fully enclosed (black with red accents) fan shroud.

Thanks for the reply! Just wanted to know if it was a reputable site with good stuff, just ordered 3 DP -> Mini DP cable in preparation for Eyefinity6.

Just a friendly warning - I would hold off purchasing stuff until you know whats in the box of the Eyefinity Edition.

I think this is something that is being worked on. The intent would be to create more than one DisplayGroup per board. Of course, one would need to be selected as the primary and game rendering would need to go to that one.

You might want to try Battleforge. IIRC the tile is free todownload now (you just pay for more card sets).

And the fact that ATI may already have a single GPU that can do it most certainly isn't a benefit to everybody. It has been documented numerous times ATI cards do not perform as well as nVidia cards for certain "gaming" situations. MS Flight Simulator is one of them. I have nothing inherently again...
