Just an FYI to the thread:
http://www.techreport.com/discussions.x/18298
And you'll need to have two high-end Nvidia graphics cards, either based on the upcoming GF100 GPU or the current GTX 200 series, because neither generation of GPU can drive more than two displays simultaneously. |

So are you saying the hotkey/shortcuts is a windows problem and it will not be fixed by ATI? No. Read it again. I am saying that when the Hotkey fix is in place the settings for the Hotkeys may not be kept from on driver install to another because when you do a driver install it installs a complete... |

bowenac, for starters, what is discussed in that post is a specific fix related only to the Hotkey saves. The comment on the registry is not something that is incorrect or will be changed, it is just how Windows works, but, again, I stress this is only related to the Hotkeys. Now, in general, if you... |

I remember Dave saying something about a registry problem that would be fixed in later updates.
1.) I do not recall having mentioned anything about registry issues.
2.) The registry values being tweaked here bear no relation to Eyefinity or display.

If you are an HD 5850 user and want to try a BIOS update (again, same caveats apply as before) then you can try the following one:

FYI, for those that are not aware there is now an Eyefinity microsite up:
http://www.amd.com/eyefinity
This site will evolve very rapidly (I'd put this at version 0.5 of the site as it is now) and we'll be updating frequently with more content. |

The full name of the 6 DP board is "ATI Radeon HD 5870 Eyefinity6 Edition". |

I don't know where you heard they were going to be released now, but generally you should look more towards the middle of the month for Cat releases. |

It kinda annoys me that after 3 months ATI still didn't give us bezel managment yet... come on.. how hard is it to do something like what Matrox did and just chop off some part of the display and shift the image over ?!
Note that we are not doing what Matrox do. |

It is important to note the part number / firmware revisions of the adapters (which is why we list them). The validation that we put into it has resulted in firmware changes on the adapter side and some earlier ones may not be at the latest firmware rev. |

They probably just took SLI Matrix mode and tweaked it a bit for mainstream. My money is it's a SLI Matrix "Lite" with some features locked out. This solution sounds like a better integrated SoftTH using CUDA mode. It sounds to be SoftTH like, but I don't think CUDA is necessarily a must. Given tha... |

Exactly so that means it would be using the existing DVI ports instead of a DP port like in the picture I posted above.
Yes, never was it suggested otherwise....? |

Have Nvidia actually said anything about what display connector configurations they are going to use on there GF100, I know the boards they have taken with them to CES aren't strictly speaking there final release version. Publically, not that I've seen. However, even though its not released they wi... |

One might say well yea but you have to run SLI. Ok fair enough but that is still a cheaper solution then having to buy DP monitors when there are hardly any out and yet they are very expensive or have to buy a Validated http://support.amd.com/us/eyefinity/Pages/eyefinity-dongles.aspx $100 adapter t... |

I've heard of cases where just EMI from other devices close to the PC caused issues - in one case, just moving the PC sounds subwoofer away from the PC cleared up issues. |

For dual card operation only one connector is required - this was software change was instigated when we introduced HD 3870 X2. You'll see that some of the partner designs for the 5700 series are already only coming with one connector. |

Everything takes time to develop - would you have held back Eyefinity for the sake of having bezel management? Given the number of people that are enjoying the feature / capability I think its the right decision not to. As we've stated, bezel mangement is being developed and will be in an upcoming d... |
