P.S. I have seen some foliage popping in and out though and dont know how to fix that (tried tinkering with graphics settings for a bit)... Yeah, there is some really really bad popping. In the Elves' market place, there is a huge tree. 90% of the time it's invisible, it sometimes appears for a brie...

I went to the Matrox homepage and downloaded all their latest software. I installed them and then it let me chose which res and 5040x1050 came up.
Can't recall doing anything special. Maybe I was just lucky?

I'm running a 2x 4870x2 Quadfire setup and 5040x1050 works just fine.

I'm fairly new to the whole TH2G affair. I did some research on what resolutions are supported by ATI cards, but specification change so fast that I'm unsure what the current standing is. I'll be using a 4870x2. Now is 5040x1050 supported on that card, or is not? If not, will it be? Thank you! Got ...

This, I'm afraid.
I'm still hopeful, but not optimistic.

I think what angers me the most is that ATI don't decide on what role EF should play. On the one hand, they promote it as THE gaming revolution, offering triple head gaming to a larger user group. EF = something special. On the other hand, they reduce it to a mere bonus to the card, "don't blame us ...

When that future is, is anyone's guess. Pretty annoying. How hard can it be, seriously, to estimate how long it's gonna take to implement a very basic but neccessary feature? They've been showing off Eyefinity ever since early September. Now we're nearing mid October, and they still can't at least ...

I'm not a marketing expert but should they not try to make the best out of their head start, i.e. sell as many of their cards before nv catches the buyers' attention?

[quote]CF issue should be resolved the moment the 5870x2 is available, since this card acutally is nothing more than a CFed 5870. In other words, as long as Eyefinity doesn't support CF, a 5870x2 can't be advertised as an Eyefinity card. Not true, it could be and it would only use 1 of the 2 cores....

Samiad, thank you for your detailed answer. Funny enough, I had already ordered a 5870, but canceled it. As long as CF is not working, there really is no need to enable such high resolutions while the power is lacking to support them. Also, bezel management isn't yet implemented. Third, getting an a...

Well, it's a discontinued model I think, namely an AOC 416V.
Anyway, I already got three of them sitting here right next to me, so ...
If it turns out TH2G won't work well with them, should I just refrain from getting a TH2G at all?

Now that's great news! I'm unsure about those "syncs at ..." specs, though. Here's my screen: Scanning Frequency: Horizontal: 30K~83KHz Vertical: 55~75 Hz Pixel Frequency: 165MHz Maximum Resolution: 1920x1200@60Hz Recommended Resolution: 1920x1200@60Hz Resolutions Supported 720x400@70Hz, 640x480@60/...

Thanks for the heads up, guys! Especially: So it seams Eyefinity Drivers see no difference between my Apple or Bizlink Active DP (mini for apple) to DVI. So for non US residents: - get an Apple adaptor, should be available in any Apple store worldwide - get a female mini dp to male dp adaptor from C...

I've had confirmation from Scan that they are actively working on sourcing those Active DisplayPort->DVI adaptors for those in the UK, and those who can order from the UK.

Any idea how long that is gonna take?
