Actually, now that I take a look, that whole article is about SLI, not just the BF3 portion.

Looks like SweClockers.com did a test of 680 SLI performance in BF3 at Surround resolutions, have a look: http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=sv&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sweclockers.com%2Frecension%2F15196-geforce-gtx-680-kepler-samt-sli%2F21%23pagehe...

I managed to get into Caspian Border the other day, and let's just say...the game was nigh on impossible to play on eyefinity, 10-15 fps, 20 if i got lucky, taking everything from ultra to low didn't seem to make much of a difference strangely enough, maybe a 5 fps (10 max) gain, on a single screen...

I had to reduce a few to jpeg since they were going over the 10MB limit, and apparently I didn't get a screenshot of the 2400MB+ VRAM, but the 2200MB shot serves much the same purpose. [quote]Are there any card's/SLI/Crossfire mixes that are performing well? I appear to be getting around 20fps average at 5760x1080 on Ultra with no AA - crawls often however. I have 2x 5870 in crossfire mode and I get all sorts of textural glitches whenever the settings are on ultra plus the framer...

[quote]i'm getting about 30 to 40 on ultra. 60fps with slight drops on low, But it feels a littlle choppy even with the nvidia beta drivers. and its only using about 50% of my cards on low or medium, but its using all my vram, even on low when using surround. Looks like the game and drivers still n...

Powerdesk has been keyed to detect a Matrox product in order to be used now. This didn't use to be the case. It's been like that now for at least a year now though. I have a spare Th2G Digital just sitting around so I plugged it in to bypass the hardware detection issues I have for Eyefinity and Su...

Completely agree, Ibrin. As someone who just switched from 6970s to 580s, the last thing I want to start seeing is a "Physx approach" to multi-monitor gaming. Carmack was right when he said (in his 2011 keynote speech) that it's nice to have "only two" major graphics driver companies to deal with no...

My XFX 6970s (reference) having tearing on the desktop and it's fairly annoying. Until very recently I had ASUS DirectCU II 6970s and was using 3xDP, which eliminated the tearing altogether. Right now I'm waiting on new cards to arrive and I'm using my XFX 6970 again while I wait...the tearing is ba...

If any of you recall, BFBC2 didn't have CrossFireX support even when it was in beta. Considering that the BF3 alpha was intended to focus on netcode/battlelog and the beta will focus on graphics/stability/etc., I think it's safe to say that performance will be going up significantly between now and ...

Well, so far this game has a big thumbs down from me in terms of the PC release. I can some what understand the lack of multi-screen support. However the intolerable oversight is the lack of SLI or Crossfire support AT ALL, even for a single screen. To get the game to work you completely have to di...

If you're willing to put in the time, HaYDeN, it would truly be appreciated! :cheers

Just to clarify, would the fix be something we'd be able to use without getting VAC banned? I'd really like to get into this game but the horrible FOV just makes it no fun. :(

So there is no way to increase the FOV using any of the normal INI files, I'm guessing? I could live with the stretched HUD but the I can't play with the awful default FOV even on single screen.

I got it to work at 5760x1080 during the beta, but the FOV was horrible and the weapon models were stretched. I loaded up the game last night at 1920x1080 (post-beta, obviously) and changing the FOV in the INI didn't do anything, which is unfortunate because I felt like I was running around with hor...

I was able to load up SC2 in Eyefinity portrait mode, but the game doesn't detect my bezel compensation. It's...interesting in portrait Eyefinity, but I find the bezels are much more intrusive to the play experience due to the nature of RTS games. It's neat, but it takes away from the overall polish...

So will Ibrin's review be up today? I'm still interested to see the results but the other bunch of reviews pretty much stole the thunder and told me what I didn't want to hear: no improvement whatsoever at 2GB.

I'm still waiting to hear results from a widescreen enthusiast however. :rockout

Yeah, I just cancelled my order. I had him give me a USPS quote but it was $81, drastically raising the total price of the stand.

It sucks because I can't find anything similar to that stand here in Canada, even from Ergotron dealers. :(
