Oops I didn't get a chance to edit my post - I hadn't taken into account pixel depth or refresh rate. With a good quality cable - the maximum should be around 5040x1050x24@62Hz (or 5040x1050x32@46Hz) - but that is almost on the limit of what the interface can handle on one dual-link DVI connection (... |

I'm under the impression that a single dual-link dvi port can only support resolutions up to 2560x1600 (i.e. 4096000 pixels). If you're trying to do 5040x1050 - that's 5292000 pixels, well above the maximum that dual link dvi can support. You would have to drop the resolutions down a bit - 3x 1440x9... |
