Having a native DP monitor worked for me. I haven't had any blinking or blackout issues.

Hey guys, One problem I am having with the Dell monitor sometimes is that it doesn't refresh and loses signal to the display port. As in sometimes when you open a game the screen goes black for a second before the game loads, well the 2 side monitors load and the dell just sits their then says no s...

And if DP gets scrapped for the next 'shiny new spec'?

Then I still have HDMI, DVI, and VGA ports.

I will cross that bridge when I get to it. Thanks to ebay, these new monitors are going to cost me nothing additional out of pocket.

...but at least the Matrox card don't make us buy a $100 adapter.

ATI doesn't make you buy a $100 adapter either. You only need one if you don't have a native DP monitor, so it is not required per say.

When it comes down to it you gotta pay to play and you get what you pay for.

I went ahead and ordered 3 dell 24" monitors with DP. I would rather have something future proof and guaranteed to work.

what is the ETA on that? if yours works out for you, then I will be ordering this product asap.

I would guess next Monday or Tuesday (11/30/09 or 12/01/09) seeing as they are located in Houston and ground shipping to DFW is only a day from that location.

Are you using an adapter or do your monitors have native DP?

I just ordered this after having failed results with the Dell/Bizlink active DP->DVI adapter. I am running 3x 24" monitors. I hope this adapter can run 1920x1200. I don't think there would be any issues, but I read a post about a user having an issue with the Apple DP->VGA adapter at 1920x1200. I wi...

However your best bet is to try with a DP to VGA which is said to work in another thread. I could definitely try that. Does VGA support 1920x1200? EDIT: Support greater than QXGA (2048x1536) resolution at 24-bit color depths I think the product description answered my question. Reading FTW. I just ...

I only run at 5040x1050 but don't have this problem with the Apple adapter. Do you know anyone that you can borrow another DP-DVI adapter from in a different brand? Alternatively, buying a DP monitor can cure all problems, AFAIK. I have heard that the Apple adapter came be more problematic with cer...

I am also having this issue but it is pretty constant for me. If I run 5870 x 1200, the monitor connected to the DP->DVI-D adapter (Dell/Bizlink active adapter) will flicker on and off. It actually stays off most of the time. Sometimes, if it is on, it will display tears through the screen. I have t...
