The title says it all. Would this be a viable setup to push 5x1 6000x1920? My biggest concern is the x2's lack of E6 support. I'd like to think that there wouldn't be issues connecting to the single (E6) card, but it's a lot of money to spend w/o knowing 100%.

I currently have a 5870 running 3x1 but I'm making the move to 5x1 and want thoughts on the best approach. I'm currently considering two options: 1) Buy a 5870e6 and just lose the extra gb of memory (due to just 1gb on 5870) 2) Buy 2x 6850 and give current 5870 to wife replacing 4850. Flashed 6850>6...

I flashed bios, it worked for a few weeks with only minor loss. 10.3 Increased the dropping of my adaptered monitor to once every few hours, but was normally easily fixed by just changing resolution and then back again. 10.4 Complete loss of adaptered monitor. Nothing gets it back up and running. I'...

It's my opinion that you're always better off building your own over going with a prebuilt. You get to hand pick each component and you save substantially. 5970 vs 5870 - When the 5870 was 420-440$ and the 5970 was 600 it made sense from a price perspective. Now you can find 5870s for 380$ and the 5...

Is there an ETA on an ETA? This delay really has me debating going with two cards, one lower end for 2D use only, and one for 2D/gaming, but I don't want to pull the trigger on that if the Eyefinity6 is out soon as it involves other expenses that I have budgeted for later. This debate is made tough...

HIS 5870 Accell Adapter DP-Dual link DVI via Dell Bios flash from page 6. Before the flash the 3rd monitor was constantly tearing and going out completely. After the flash I see no tearing and the monitor hasn't gone down while playing. There have been a few times after waking the pc up from sleep t...

The ebay listing is at least 3-4 weeks old. It was there when I first started researching my build. At that time it had a buynow price of 1800$. Personally I'd be highly skeptical, at 900$ it should have been sold multiple times by now.

Getting one on the cheap is going to be tough, everything involving displayport is expensive. Cheapest one I came across was 33.99 + 5.99 s&h http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812200458 On a side note, do you know if you can run a vga > dvi connector through your dp > vga so you ...

You could go with 1920x1080, however all 3 monitors would have to run that resolution which would make the 1920x1200 (native) stretch vertically. Is there a reason why you wouldn't just pick up 2x more 1920x1200? You can pick up the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176144&Tpk...

I personally feel as though this is a very legitimate question. I understand there are manufacturing constraints and ATI wants to ensure that the "mainstream" boards are in full supply before they move onto the "enthusiast" boards. That being said there are many normal consumers such as myself out t...

I'd like to stay away from the TN panels. It's my understanding that the image quality goes right out the window in portrait mode. I am interested in the LP2275 however. This is the first mention I've seen of it, of course I have been looking for ips but pva should give just as good angles. Let me a...

Just use the filter and select DP. The prices are in Euro, but they still list from cheapest to most expensive. Also a great way to filter for IPS screens, screens with portrait tilt, resolution ect.

Here's my quandry. I plan on adding a 5870 Eyefinity6 when and if it ships to run a 5x1 portrait. If I were only going for 3x monitors the 24" HP would be my ideal setup with it's 1920x1200 resolution and natural displayport. However, price quickly starts to become a concern when looking at 5x. I th...

I'm not a pioneer in widescreen gaming, I'm not a cutting edge technophile. I'm just an ordinary consumer and pc hobbyist. It's time for a new build and while searching for parts stumbled onto the 5xxx series. I didn't even know what Eyefinity was until I googled it. I knew multi-screen computing wa...
