If you can swing it and actually find one, I would get a 5970. I run one and have not run into any stuttering nor slowdowns in any games/graphical programs. And this is all game settings HIGH in Eyefinity @ 5760x1200. Yes you are limited to 1Gb per core, but you are limited to 1Gb per core with 2 58...

Fixed with Feb. 10th drivers. (went from mid/hgh 30s to 80s. Not bad.)

What drivers are these?

I just wish we could get an answer from either a ATI rep (cough) or someone with knowledge on these drivers, if this is indeed the case.

Anyone know why there is such a performance hit in games when using these drivers? In Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Beta, My FPS goes from 35 Min, 50 Avg, 80 Max, to with 10.1/10.1 HF 20min, 30avg, 50 max. It's a pretty sizeable performance hit. I "upgraded" to 10.1, FPS dropped horridly, nearly by half :cry: . Switched back to 9.12 Hotfix, will have to find out what the deal is....

I will chime in on this. To get it to work you'll have to set the resolution (5760x1200 in my case) then exit the game completely and restart the game. In my case it wouldnt set the resolution correctly if I did not restart (after selecting desired resolution), the screen would just blink continuous...
