Hello all. I just want to know if it's possible to Force Hz(as on CRT) on tft widescreen. My friend just got a new fresh monitor but he is whining about he cant get over 75Hz in CS(at 640x480 res) So I simply just want to know if it's possible with some kind of program/"coding". Okay, ive installed win7 now and so on and NOW I got that option I only had when I used 800x600 so.. yea..
But when I choose "Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio" and press apply, it auto changes to "use my display's built-in scaling"
so.. I dunno whats wrong :e |

well, I had a vga cable before :P
I reinstalled to the new driver again tho, I couldnt stand a swedish menu lol
Im gonna install win7 tomorrow tho so, we'll see how it works then.
Probally it wont make any differens but aye ^^ |

I mean full or aspect in the monitor menu under display mode. :)
oh :p
well, ive tryed both aspect and full and if I use aspect it is like I said "intryckt" to the middle.
If I use full, well then its all over my screen |

Just try and see if aspect scaling works after you install them. The other method I linked is something you can do if it still doesn't work. :) Now I got the flat panel scaling option but when I choose "Use NVIDIA-scaling while maintaining aspect ratio" it makes my CS look like this: |-------------... |

Too bad. That would have solved the problem and we wouldn't need to do a hack to make it work. Seems its changed and the method cannot be used anymore. The timings is correct according to standards. Try rolling back to 186.91 drivers. They have scaling confirmed working. I may have done it in the w... |

Sorry, I can't do remote assistance now. :( Could walk you though it, but I figured out that you have scaling on your screen that you can use. :) go into your screen menu on your monitor and select display mode. There you can toggle between aspect and full. Yea, I can change it to aspect there but ... |

since a Moderator has to check my post before you can read it I gotta write a double post; I've reinstalled my Graphic driver like, 5 times and Ive also tryed the 197 driver but its the same problem. I got a "aspect" function on my screen menu but it scales to 1:1 or something like that, instead of ... |

Scaling might be broken in the drivers or your screen overrides it.
