Feh, same problem, no difference with bezel compensation on or off. Anyone find any system files lying around that can be poked with yet? |

The 5850's have served me well for almost 2 years now, but I'm starting to get odd artifacting at times, plus the fact that I cannot even play FEAR 3 (everytime I look at a certain type of light source for too long it hard locks the machine), so I was wondering if its time to bid them adeiu. The que... |

Everything is stock, I've made no changes to the ini files. Any recommendations as to what values to try? I'd try starting off in the 500 range, adjust in either direction to see what differences they make, then test to find the sweet spot. Same goes for fDefaultFov to adjust the zoom on the pickin... |
I want to add that if you can get past the main nested menu issue, portrait eyefinity is about 90% playable. Once I had a save (I did it on one monitor in landscape), back to 3xportrait mode, I just click "Continue", then hit the down arrow once (even though I can't see my selection) and hit... |

The only thing that is really bugging me still is that everytime I transition from an area to another I get a black box that quickly appears and disappears on the center screen. Sometimes it takes 3-5 seconds for the black box to go away and sometimes it appears and disappears in less than a second... |

Apologies if this double posts, been doing these posts all this afternoon via iPhone and a wonky 3G connection. Upon further research we can avoid the INI overwriting problem entirely by running the game without the launcher: http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34935 In a nutshell all you... |

Butch - Steam Cloud is the service offered which uploads saves, settings etc to Valves servers so you can play games in your Steam account across multiple PCs without losing where you are, etc. Or at least, that's the idea... I usually end up disabling it. Saves I get - I was playing Torchlight on ... |
Once this is done, I COPY both files, and paste them somewhere that can be accessed easily. But you know that you need to overwrite the falloutprefs.ini from SteamUserDataYOURSTEAMID]22380Remote with the falloutprefs.ini from your myGames-Dir after you edited it? Yea, that was in my original... |

Is there anyway of editing the (.ini) files or some other fix to allow using only the middle monitor on an eyefinity setup?
The only quick way I can think of offhand is to switch between Extended Desktop and Eyefinity, with Windows Key + P

Okay, literally right after I finished posting that the patch downloaded and proceeded to throw all my changes in the bin. It left me back at square one with me being totally unable to adjust any settings. After playing around with it for the last hour I have set it back the way it should be, but it... |

Glad to help, you actually had an easier time than me. Half of that solution was posted on the Bethesda boards, but Steam was not kind enough to actually create the 22380 folder until I had started/stopped the game a few times. Who knows whats going on with this, but its a pleasure to play now. Exce... |

Came home from work and tweaked a few settings, and now met with total success: Steps I took to get here: 1) Navigate to Documents>My Games>FalloutNV>Fallout.ini, right click and turn Read Only off 2) Within Fallout.ini, changed values of iSafeZoneXWide, iSafeZoneX, and fDefaultFov to values necessa... |

While trying to muck about with the files I had the same problem as others did with changes not sticking. It was two things for me:

Properly changing the Read Only value on fallout.ini, and pasting my changes into falloutprefs.ini, including the copy in the Steam app data folder.[/*:m][/lis... |
