Thank you Thales, that was exactly the information I was looking for, so even three of the same monitors are taken and setup, any information if there woul be a huge bottleneck and if 2gb of VRAM would not suffice the highest resolutions? Thanks in advance Badboyzasr I'd be worried with 3x3D monito...

Save $100USD and get a 2500K. You aren't going to lose anything noticeable when gaming. For motherboards, I believe only Gigabyte's UD7 boards have support for x16/x16 dual card-most LGA1155 boards only do x8/x8, x16/x4 or x16/x8.

Depends on the game and format. If you're talking an RTS and how much battlefield can be viewed at once...in a multiplayer game I could see a great, not necessarily "fair" advantage. OTOH, considering how many big name *single-player* titles are openly shipping with intentionally broken multi-monito...

How much light gaming? E.g. what titles? In my rig, my OC'd 6850 has issues with many recent titles @ "only" 5200*1050. DX9 titles can be run fairly high, but many recent titles need cut down graphics to keeps framerates decent. Your proposed setup would have a less powerful GPU, in addition to anot...

OP, Check out HydraGrid off the AMD driver downloads page. Lets you setup user-determined maximize-button window sizing for anything not a video game.

Eyefinity and Nvidia Surround requires that all panels output the same resolution. If your panels do not, then the drivers will scale back your panel(s) to the largest common resolution. Hence your x1200 panel is running at 1280x1024 like your side panels, and your total resolution is 3840x1024. Wit...

You don't need to "deactivate" Eyefinity. Just hop on ATI's driver website, you want to download an extra package called HydraGrid. You can set it up however you want so that the "maximize" button snaps the windows to preset sizes. For example in the below screencap of my current desktop, All I did ...

Yup. Unusable on Windstream. To click from My Account, to this thread, to type this reply...took about 7-10 minutes. I'm astounded my browser isn't timing out on its own waiting on WSGF to respond. Several posts awaiting reply...Cannot because I don't have a 1/2-hour IRL to waste waiting for WSGF to...

Go to AMD/ATI's driver website. Find the right driver downloads page for your OS. The package you want (if you don't already have it), is called HydraGrid. You can set it up however you want...by default once enabled it should detect your bezel breaks just fine, and most applications are smart enoug...

Don't get too excited, seems like the hack has trouble keeping the new FoV in place, and the dialog wheel/menus etc. are still Vert-, give the man some time. Did you manually specify the Eyefinity X-axis resolution in the Engine.ini? I'm wondering because I can get the FOV altered in game, if I kee...

I loaded up Flawless Widescreen for Borderlands, and noticed the Mass Effect fix was in there! It's very buggy, and it's not really playable, but it shows progress! Thanks! Steam or retail? I'm trying Steam version and it isn't working...Granted I could be being stupid, haven't used that tool before.

Noice!

Only critique I'd give you is to be mindful of your coolant and blocks. Most of those dyes settle out of the liquid clogging blocks, necessitating cleaning. Best way for color is colored tubing IMHO.

Bezel Management in Eyefinity requires three identical monitors Doesn't need to be completely identical anymore. But darn close. My array has 2 Acers and one Asus. But all are 1680x1050, all are 22" diagonal, and all have very similar bezel widths. With Catalyst 11.4 and before, I had to bypass Cat...

In terms of performance at stock clocks, not much difference to right home about. Only if you have a nice SSD or a device that runs out of bandwidth on USB2.0 would you notice a difference. However, MSI boards are known to have exploding MOSFETs due to their sub-standard el-cheapo 'fets they use in ...

Shame, I remember a while back on Steam saying they'd look into it.

There are several adapters available to go from Displayport->to anything (VGA/HDMI/DVI). Being in the EU, I don't know what kind of shopping options you have-but here in the US Dsplayport hardware is hard if not impossible to find at local computer stores. There's a list of certified adapters on the...
