Okay, thanks for clearing that up. This is probably what's happening to me, then, the driver choosing the 1680*1050 resolution as base for the intermediate grouped resolution. But I wonder why Amd has done it like this, as I always prefer the native resolution, on both lcd, plasma and projectors... ...

Thanks for replying! I was hoping that I could avoid creating a new EDID, because of the risk. But, can someone tell me how the intermediate grouped resolution is chosen?
