[quote]Thx a lot to everybody! Now I have no doubts, I just don't know if going SLI or not, or maybe wait for the 690... Because 680 SLI is almost 1100 euros here in spain... The 690 isn't likely to be cheap either. If it's less than 800-900 Euros I'll be quite surprised. And the TDP of the 680 is ...

Swapped back to DisPort+DVI setup to test Jedi Outcast. Was fine, although I watched my GPU get warmer than it has done with any other games, when the framerate hit numbers-that-were-insanity... Thx a lot to everybody! Now I have no doubts, I just don't know if going SLI or not, or maybe wait for t...

Got mine working finally. Apparently the refurb displays had borked firmware- get what ya pay for. Ended up going with Dell UltraSharp displays that support portrait mode, and everything works wonderfully with 2 DVI and 1 DP. I've tried out portrait mode as well with the 680, in addition to using t...

Could you try an old game, like CSS or something like that. Even waving windows in both monitors in your desktop to see if there is tearing.

Thx for the input!

I'm also interested in whether tearing (over different connectors, i.e. 2x DVI + 1x DP) is an issue or not as well.

Yes, exactly. I'm thinking of buying one and would really like to know.

[quote]He says the problem is HDMI->DVI and that two monitors with miniDP to DVI active adapter will fix the problem. That's odd. HDMI and DVI have identical digital signals, so that should not be the issue. Can I get a link to the forum? EDIT: The adapter looks fine, but nothing more or less than ...

[quote]When the core clock jumps it does tear, but that is normal. But in games the core clock always maintains maximum value and it still tears, wouldn't mind the tearing in windows because of the clock changes. I am using the 12.3 rc (8.95...) drivers (can by found on guru3d). And all my tearing has gone. Maybe you guys can try those and tell us if the helped. If so then future drivers might solve this problem. Btw using the native dvi + hdmi to dvi + dp to mini dp setup as well. Have a 7950, but that sho...

I notice you using drivers provided by Sapphire, why is this instead of using drivers direct form AMD? What is the difference exactly? At first I was using the official AMD drivers the ".2" but then I tried the drivers that were on the Sapphire website that are newer, the ".5". With the official AM...
