Third time's the charm, right ? It was first requested in 2007 http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=14288&p=40912 then again in 2009 http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=17439 There is a fix to play it on modern systems on custom resolutions, but the game is stretched, it ne...

This is the first time using this program, and it is for the game Dark Void. I'm curious why is the FOV slider going only from -20 to +20, other games also seem to have this limitation ? Any way to change this to go to 30 ? Yes, check my edit on PCGamingWiki. It can go up to 45 with that. It should...

You don't actually plan to play games in 3x4K resolution ? That would be ridiculous :)

Also how do you go from "I am new to gaming and video/photo editing" to having such a beast of a computer ?

Sorry I can't give any advice :(

Updated DR with correct Weapon FOV. Unfortunately couldn't find a fix for the VERT- Cutscenes.

It's running on Quake 3 engine. Jackfuste has made several hor+ FOV fixes for other Q3 engine games, maybe he could do his magic here too.

Thanks both of you. It seems jackfuste has a proven method to fix the FOV issues in Quake 3 engine games. We should revisit each game to check if already posted old methods work for cut-scenes and the rest, and report back.

Sorry for the triple post, but I just want to confirm the new fix by jackfuste works and cut-scenes are now hor+, so people know the previous discussion was about the old fix. You also do NOT have to start a new game, old saves work.

Never mind. My method actually doesn't work, the scene starts with the old FOV then suddenly jumps to my new FOV only at the end of the shot. Your hex edit method seems to work for the intro, but already in the next scene it's back to old. Tried doing both, but that didn't help. Also there are some ...

Cutscenes uses multiple values - i found one in OFFSET 562A0 --> look for 00 00 B4 42. Change it to 00 00 F4 42 to see the difference and start a NEW Game (since the Savegames stores the old FOV Value). I will check it out. Also, if you open the pak0.pk3 archive there is a folder called "cams&...

So I tried all the solutions on here, nothing really worked but I saw in the comments that someone had a fix when his buddy gave him the config, I've been playing with this issue for years and I need help fixing it because apparently it is possible. http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=61&...

Someone will have to update the ratings and stuff for Chrome and Chrome Specforce. I have only one monitor and can push the Virtual Resolution only to 1440p, so I am useless.

UPDATE: This doesn't fix the FOV in cut-scenes. The same FOV fix method I used for the original Chrome works for ...

I have updated the report to cover the Chrome HD Fix.

This still doesn't resolve issues with aspect ratios wider than regular widescreen since there is no FOV option.

The link for the fix is dead and even the links on the author's blog are dead. Does anyone have it ?

Yes, with this exe it works. I tested it both with the sniper and after cut-scenes :twothumb: I don't know how you do it. Any chance you could also make it change the vertical FOV ? Also could you tell me the numbers for this week's EuroJackpot ? I don't want to be annoying, but you know how it is, ...

I didn't notice any mouse speedups. Anyway, I didn't change anything related to mouse input. So maybe it's really v1.0 problem, which fixed in v1.2. I also think it was a "bug" in the actual game that they fixed with a patch, and not a problem with your fix. In one review I read, the guy ...

From 14 years out of the DB to complete revamp in a couple weeks... What a time to be old and alive  I'm impressed by the flexibility of the old Saber 3D engine. If only all LOD issues in current games could be fixed with .ini edits. That worked great 10 years ago on slow PCs and with low r...
