The game supports wide resolutions at least up to 1440*900 as this is the max resolution of my monitor. i was able to choose 1280*720 also, so I guess higher wide resolutions are supported too.

The game has a zoom in/out option with the mouse wheel, so basically, the field of view can be whatever you want it to be ... 8)

Well, yay. HoMaM is one of my favorite series (except IV). Now the only problem is Starforce :(

Remember, kids. It's HoMaM or HMM, not HoMM. If you include the O, you must include the A ;) My personal crusade. HOMAM!

now that i compare them lke this, the wide ones seem strectched. just look at the wall surrounding the heaven castle.

Komoto, i'd rather write HoM&M :D

here they are

it's the same location but this time it's not a lumber mill. i just zoomed out to maximum.

there is an autoexec.cfg file with lots of settings and i found these

//mission_camera_def_pos Fov Pitch Yaw fRod(Distance)
//mission_camera_def_pos 50 -53 0 50
mission_camera_def_pos 50 -53 16 46

it seems fov is set to 50 when starting a mission, but that should be the default fov when not zooming. changing the value didn't do anything. camera position when starting a map was the same, no matter what value i gave it. once you start the mission though, you can zoom in or out without any problems. there are settings for zooming also like zoom acceleration, which i found nice. anyway, the game is so laggy online. all these pics are done with the hot seat mode.

Just wanted to note it supports 1360x768 native, but it looks like it is doing some stretching...things lookjust a tad off.

Very neat game so far though. I'd love to see a true hack though to get the fov right. Let me dig around real quick and see if I can find something.
