There is an AR value in the registry here:
HKEY_USERSS-1-5-21-854245398-1078081533-839522115-1003SoftwareIO InteractiveKane & Lynch 2: Dog Days DemoGraphicsAspectRatio

Anyone tried manually setting it for surround? I did, but the demo seems to be crash-happy on my system. I can't even load a 4:3 res/AR successfully.

^ What values did you try?

I checked out the "canned" settings in the game when at 1920x1200 res and all 4 options of 16:10, 16:9, 5:4 and 4:3.

The registry values for each setting at the same resolution are:
16:10 = 1600
16:9 = 1777
5:4 = 1250
4:3 = 1333

I'm trying to figure out how they determine that value.
I tried setting the resolution to a 16:9 resolution (1920x1080) and then set the in-game aspect ration to 16:10; the ratio is still 1600 in the registry.

I will do some googling/tweaking and see if I can figure out how they are coming up with that number. I can only assume it might have something to do with the default FOV, though it is not referenced in the registry.

Duh... what was I thinking??

It's the decimal value multiplied by 1000.
e.g.
16:10 equals 1.6 * 1000 = 1600
4:3 equals 1.333 * 1000 = 1333

So my new resolution 6080 x 1200 = 76:15 = 5.066 * 1000 = 5066
Time to give that a try...

That didn't work well... It comes out looking like Kane and Lynch re-enacted by the munchkins. I'm trying to experiment with different values but it looks like the stretched rendering is going to make it a bit of a deal breaker.

Well my consensus is that Kane and Lynch 2 is not much fun stretched out. I went back to a 1920x1200/16:10 resolution/aspect ratio. The characters and FOV look much better now. There is some weird vertical light rays but that is either part of the game "look" or an issue in the ati 10.7 driver...a minor annoyance at best.

I will try to post up some screen captures and registry settings for others to give it try and see what they think.
