One of the bugs in Gothic 3 on some PCs. You can set your resolution in the useroptions.ini file in the gothic3 folder.

Nope, you need 1,5GB to run it good. :P

I have, with 300MB Windows needed RAM, 1700MB usage on highest textures.

Man this thing is a "huge" resource hog, and the graphics suck.. where's the AA at? lol

Jaggy edges, not good. The gameplay seems pretty solid but its crippled by the following:

A) Shite resource management
B) Crap textures
C) Lack of AA
D) Random bugs such as enemies getting stuck in everything

Pity, looks like it might of been good.

In the new Gamestar there is a video of all the bugs in G3. I'm not sure about laughing or whining. Its al really silly clip. I'll go for NWN2 or MoMM instead. G3? Maybe later...

Yes, I wouldn't recommend it unfortunately - it has the potential to be a bloody good game, if only they'd spent more time on the engine/graphics.

I'm playing it now and it runs fine, I had no major bugs, it hasn't crashed/frozen once. The only bugs I've seen have been silly little ones that haven't effected my enjoyment at all.

I'm really enjoying it! :-)

Daniel.

I did not like the last 2 Gothics. I thought the interface/controls were awkward. If the controls are so awkward that they are not intuitive, even after a few hours of playing, then the game in not very enjoyable to me. I will point out, however, that because I was not able to get past the interface problems, I did not fully experience the games. I have read that the Gothic worlds were very much alive and made Morrowind seem static.

That said, I am still quite curious about Gothic 3. I would be willing to give the series another shot. I don't know if I would be able to handle playing Oblivion (OOO) AND Gothic 3 at the same time though. I think that Gothic may get pushed back on my buy-list since there are a ton of games coming out next month that I am really anticipating.
