Hmm, could we do some testing visually as to see what would be the "official" FoV for certain Resolutions and Aspect Ratio's using the hack. ?

I think finetuning from my 16:10 settings is the way to go. I might do it myself when I can get arsed to play to demo again and get the wrench and stuff :P.

Vista 32bit user here, works like a charm. just want to tell people to make sure they checked wich version they are using, demo or retail... at first i had no results until i noticed retail was checked when i was actually running the demo. Once demo was checked, bingo. works A1. thanks for the fix.

I have done that, it still didn't work, and I just got an e-mail from play.com telling me my order has been posted !! I really hope it works for the retail version as its just doing nothing with the demo at all :(

Really sorry to sound like I'm moaning, I really do appreciate your hard work Racer & Paddy, but it's so frustrating seeing everyone gettting it to work while I can't!

I just played a bit. And when you enter the stairs in the demo where you have your first combat, there is a door (which you open with the lightning bold) with a round object on it. With switching between my settings and the default ones I spotted that mine is still a bit horizontally stretched. Only a couple of pixels though.

for 1920x1200 I use the following
Width 0.9
Height 0.75

Perhaps not my final yet, but the above looks good so far.


BTW, is it me or is the game (at least the demo) very dark? Like Doom3 dark.

Just played through the demo. The mouse feels lest fubar with my settings :). Thx for the hack :D .

I hope there will be tweaks to fix fps a bit more. I drop to 30fps in firefights, I don't like that :P. (8800gtx )

Awesome work getting this tool out, and faster than 2k!

So can I use this tool to play at a lower resolution stretched to fill my monitor, but with the FOV changed so that it looks normal? Just trying to make maximum use of my WS monitor, but also trying to smooth out the framerate a bit by decreasing the load on my GPU.
