If Mirror's Edge is anything like Equilibrium, I'm sold already. Just watched that film again recently, and while it wasn't as good as I remember, it was still pretty good.

The backstory to the game and the plot is from what I understand, similar. You're not a Tetragrammaton Cleric however, you're an individual, and you're a chosen "runner". That's about as far as I remember, but I do remember it being close to HL2/Equilibrium storylines in many ways, which is why I was sold a year ago. I do hope they make this for the 360... I find myself becoming more and more a console gamer as it brings me a unified interface and I know what to expect for performance and visuals. That and i'm still only running an 8600GTS...

Do you know what the game is about (plot)? Or did you act like every other r-tard on the planet and just look at the visuals?
Before I respond to this very flippant remark, I'm going to ask that the mods take note of it and consider what causes some of the flamish chat of this forum in the first place.

I not only know what the story is about, I expect a little more than copy cat repeats of past movies rather than expecting to be treated like a "r-tard" (is that supposed to be a PC way of saying it?) for mentioning that it does look bland and an unnecessary and all too common way of emphasizing the mood of a story that only needs such gimmicks if it isn't written well in the first place.

Kind of ironic isn't it that we are talking about plots where oft times those with contrasting opinions are treated as mental defectives instead of the free thinking intelligent individuals they are? You really need to clean up your mouth on this one Cy and do some thinking yourself. You not only very inappropriately insulted me, you just flamed anyone with mental retardation in themselves or their family.

Fine, you're a radical free thinker, and substitute r-tard for n00b. Oy. I get a little lippy because I can't understand why you take offense to a commonly accepted scenery for such a movie/game. Apparently I still have room for improvement. And apparently I see no problem with the game as it stands (which was well mentioned many times,) and I don't particularly take well to people bashing that which is going to be great either way. They could make the walls rainbow colored, but it's not going to change the fact that it's still a game about a repressive utopian world, it's just going to make the utopians seem that much stranger, which is not exactly fun as that becomes boring. What draws attention is the fact that you and your character are the strange ones. So why not start with the boring and leave it as is, and decide to be the unique factor yourself?

Plot, schmot.

I look for good gameplay and pretty eye-candy.

With a few months left to develop i think we're getting ahead of the games' progress. Once it's released, THEN start bitching about it.

Though i must say that from the media I've seen it looks liek it may be fairly linear.. and that vast city scape makes me wonder jsut how much of it we can explore. Assassin's Creed was a neat idea, but it got boring, fast. But i guess that was more about the lack of mission variety.

Ya, it looks like fun.

No, nothing's fine about the labels and assumptions you're throwing around...

(@ Mods: Where the heck are the warnings when the flames start around here anyway? Seems rather one sided, unfair, and late when the crack downs finally come.)

...I'm neither a radical or noob and your childish remarks don't change the fact that plain colors to reinforce the mood of a totalitarian society has not only been done to death by countless movies, it's merely a gimmick. What's worse combining it with bright solid colors strewn about makes the environment look more cartoonish than realistic, a sort of art deco anime wannabe look.

As for your demeanor, I've encountered people with retardation that have far more insight and maturity than yourself. Having an opinion that's common doesn't make it better, sound minded, and certainly doesn't make you more experienced. Trying to lord it over someone who's opinion is of original thinking is quite pathetic and contrary to the whole point of being opinionated as you are.

It's coming out on all three platforms, the PC, the PS3, and the 360

I'm stoked for this game. I got tired just watching the trailer fullscreened. I do hope they don't add the gimmick of "real brands" to her shoes though, that would kill the excitement.

I've been too bloody busy all weekend, but I am not chuffed to see this at all.

Cynagen - stop with the deliberately inflamatory (and unnecessary) side-comments please. :)

Frag Maniac - you've shown more restraint that some others in the past. :)

...

I know it's too much to ask for everyone to get on all the time... still, I'd like to see people trying. ;)
