Games just don't seem to drag me in as much as they use to, the last game to do so completely was Bioshock; even Fallout 3 wasn't as good in my mind (still a cracking game mind you). It all seems to be fancy graphics and hardly any innovation, just clones of clones and there is usually a huge dissappointment that usually follows; after a while it becomes rather laborious.

Half the time I think it's my age which is partly the problem and that i'm just outgrowing games but I can't ignore that niggle which tells me the quality of games is not what it's used to be. They'll be the odd gem, the odd classic; which appears but even these seem to be fewer and far between these days. It makes me wonder if the gaming market has reached saturation point with it's ideas?

And as PC gamers; look at what we have been promised in the past.
Games For Windows have hardly taken the world by storm and the same goes for DX10; I upgraded my pc ages ago for the release of Alan Wake; well that was worth the cash at the time and Alan Wake....... obviously fell to sleep; some blockbuster eh?

In my view, console owners don't get away with the abuse either; i would love a 360, but the thing that puts me off is that damn RROD. My PS1 is STILL going strong after all these years and the amount of breakdowns I have heard about 360's and PS3's is quite scary.

Ho hum

Yeah no new games apart from the new Alien V Preditor V Marine and Hiest look interesting to me. Age, plus high expectations = less games for us mate.

well less games that push all the buttons. Things might change though as the winter months start to evade our daily lives.

Honestly I find so many games to be exciting and amazing looking right now, it's hard for me to understand a gamer saying "meh, nothing coming out looks good."

I used to consider myself a serious gamer. My collection of games would indicate it, certainly.

However, over the last few weeks, I've not had a chance to play any games. :(

Hehe... if I really wanted to, I could probably make time to play a game for an hour or whatever every couple of days. It's just that there are other things to occupy my time that are more productive right now. ;)

Just send Valve your credit card info or pics of your packaging and keys... they will move it back to your control in a day or two.
